Does anyone have any recommendations on what is a decent software package to create picture slideshow's and record them to DVD?

I have used Pinnacle Studio in the past and it is a little tricky to put music against them. Every mouse click takes 20 or 30 seconds to respond once the show gets to be around 100 photos in Pinnacle and it drives me crazy!

Thanks in advance!!!

I have Photo Story 3..have used it to make about 10 picture slideshows with music. Is easy and fast...plus it is free

Thanks for the fast reply! It looks like though that I would need to buy a 20 dollar plug in if I want to make these DVD compatible to play in DVD players.

If I wanted a Windows Media file this software sounds great, but if I want to send it to a family member without a computer they are out of luck.

Any other recommendations out there?

Thanks again!

We use Movie Edit Pro 11 by Magix.

We do tons of these for scouts and family, and some have been as long as an hour.

I did my first one with Windows Movie Maker. I now use Sony Vegas, love it!! I like software that gives me complete control over the output, but with that extra control comes extra complexity.

The full Nero suite has this ability, though it's probably not as full-featured as standalone programs. If you have a full version of Nero, though, it's worth a shot.
