Hi all
13 days left to the Meet.
Those definitely attending so far:
Me, Tam, India, Georgia and Dorothy (my mum).
Deb and Matt
Tony and Theresa
Joh, Gary, Sian Rhiannon & Daniel
Jules and Ian
It's taking place on Bank Holiday Sunday 27th May at midday in a very unusual Indian styled room in Tetbury, Glos.
If anybody else is interested, please respond here or drop me a PM.
We are collecting a £10 per head contribution towards the food and room hire (£5 for children). This will be reduced if more people attend.
Bring your own drink, so nice and cheap on that front, except for Matt who has ordered a tanker from Guinness. :rotfl2:
There will be quizzes and fun.
All are welcome.

Bad news Kev! Had a call from the brewery and there is not enough room for the tanker to deliver! Will have to come up with a different plan I guess.
We have got an old paddling pool, so I could just get that filled up:thumbsup2 Mmmmmmmm paddling pool full of Guinness:love:

Sorry, but I can no longer make it. I could reconsider if you could make arrangements for a celebrity to be in attendance. Or for Matt to NOT be in attendance. :rotfl:

Can't oblige on the 'no Matt' front I'm afarid Deb. He's bringing the paddling pool full of booze. I'll set up the diving board.
I've got an old photo of Arthur Askey I can bring along to help out with your celebrity obsession. ;)

Debs you will be the celebrity sweetheart :goodvibes
Matt I can ask at the local RAF camp if they want to do a training exercise and drop a tanker load in by helicopter, I'm sure this is something they must do for the lads all the time. ;) so it would be good practise. :thumbsup2
See you soon.

Sorry Sian the typo didn't help.
As Matt said US highest condition of alert.

Yes as we must always be prepared for the worst and have a back up plan.
I believe a situation of Matt and Kev running out Beer can possibly be defused by the presents of at least a couple of Hooters girls.
All thou this has never been put to the test and I for one would not like to be within the fall out zone should it ever occur.:goodvibes

Right, let's try and get all the information you folks need.
The DIS Meet will start at midday and go on until about 6.00pm after which we will retire to chez Stringer for sherry and er.... more sherry.
The venue: http://www.talboyshouse.com/
To get to the room we are holding the meet in - go through the doorway to the left of the entrance to the shop 'Artique' (by the zebra crossing). Walk straight ahead and go up the metal stairway. Enter the door and turn left at the end of the short passageway. The room is in front of you. This sounds a whole lot more complicated than it really is and is well worth it as the room is lovely.
Here is a Google map showing the location of the room and the nearest car park.
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&ll=51.636359,-2.161812&spn=0.004974,0.009978&z=17&om=1&msid=107507905274332162177.00000112b4fd58b0aa730
The Brewery car park is just a few yards down the road. The tourist information centre is on the corner. I think the front car park is free on a Sunday, but the rear one certainly is.
We will be waiting to greet you. Just remember to bring your own drink. And some for me as well!
Anybody want our mobile number, drop me a PM.
See you Sunday!
Kev and Tam

we will miss you Carol and you Sue. Just sent Ian to Asda for the cheesecake stuff, I was sat quite relaxed and said "naughty word - I need to to make a cheesecake". Won't have chance this afternoon as off to the cinema. I am using a recipe I got off a US site this time, good job I spoke to my American mate Sherrie, she explained to me that a cup is 250ml, I was going to use a cup like a cup of tea. God knows what we would have ended up with tomorrow, me thinks I need to buy myself a measuring cup in December !
