The police would surely have found some bit of evidence at his house by now if it was him - they searched for a long time yesterday. I think he's just one of four who were questioned last night but we're all focussing on him because the reporters know who he is and could put a name/photo to him. It does seem to *fit* insofar as he's so near the scene of the crime and he was "overly-helpful" in his involvement with the investigation according to many. Having said that, are people just clutching at straws? Desperate to find someone who might have done it cause it's going on so long? :confused3 He said Madeleine looks so like his own daughter back in the UK and that raised some alarms but his cousin has said that he does have a daughter who likes like her. Anyway wouldn't it be easy for the police to verify that?

I hope they find little Madeleine soon. :( I also hope if Robert Murat is innocent that his life isn't ruined now.

Totally agree Deb, trouble is people will stop volunteering to help in anything if they think they might become a suspect, but if there is suspicious behaviour it should be checked out, I'm really contradicting myself aren't I :confused3 Lets just hope she is found safe and well!

I tend to agree Deb.

I am keeping an open mind to be honest. I dont want to judge without knowing the ins and outs. Considering the media print what you want to hear etc.
