Hi,
I'm pretty new to this reward thing. Please filll me in about using a my simon card. Should I do that? What are the benefits? Would it be better than using the virtual cc number for my normal credit card? Any help/advice is appreciated.
Kari

With the simon card you get a limit and if for some reason your trial cancellation gets screwed up or they try charging you more they cant. If you use your CC they can charge away!

There are a handful of offers that do not let you use the simon card.

a few of us have used the virtual paypal credit card.. linked with our paypal and bank account.

Well I am up to almost 200 worth of charges that I had cancelled and others when you sign up for one offer and they sign for up for a few others. I am getting credit back but its still a pain

I switched over to the simon card and its just much safer.

Thanks! I just ordered a simon card with $100 on it, hopefully that is enough to get me started :-)

Simon Visa cards help protect you from someone getting a hold of your cc# and running crazy with it. :goodvibes I find it to be a safe way to do the offers without putting my bank account at risk. You can also buy them at the customer service desk at any simon owned mall. Just be sure to 'register' it online with your name/address. I would personally get a couple with $25 or $50 on them each rather than putting it all on one card...just in case.. :confused3

i also think i read somewhere that the virtual paypal card number stays 'open' for 30 days..and where it is linked to my bank account...that made me nervous too...:sad2:

I read about it on the website. So, you pay $5.95 fee for a plastic card or $2.00 for an online account, is that right?

Which one are you guys getting to use on rewards programs? Can you check your balance online as you go?

I do the online account.. is your mall a Simon Mall? I can also just go to y mall and get the same gift card in plastic for 2.00. But with my little ones its easier to order it online.

Yes, You can check you balance online and it will list all transactions.

It takes approx 24 hours to get the number. i find a little longer on weekends

I don't know if yall have checked tricia's posts over the past 2 days but I would be cautious of how many offers I do using any prepaid cards and also how much I'd put on them. There seems to be a big backlash by advertisers over these cards and most are either pulling offers or not accepting prepaid cards...

Really they are great, but like previous people have said, they are getting rejected at more and more sites. They are REALLY nice for security wise though, I hope to be able to still use them for the majority of my offers.
