Had a blast, hanging with the folks was great, Japan is absolutely beautiful, two and a half weeks is way too long to be away, my body is telling me it's 13 hours ahead of time so I feel like I should be getting ready for bed and not starting my work day, I took more than 400 pics, and I'm tired.

I ate raw horse meat, seared chicken sashimi and octopus that was filled with some gooey stuff that exploded when you bit it. And don't get me started on the squid. The hair on the back of my neck is still sticking up on end.

I normally like octopus and squid, but I'm not sure how I would feel if it "popped" when I bit it....

I like seafood too. Not too sure about the raw horsemeat though. :guilty:

Glad you're back, but this had me a little :crazy2:. I mean, I'm Italian, I love a good calamari - but the gooey exploding did me in.

Welcome home! Was waiting to see you make an appearance on the Community Board...should have known to check here first!

Glad you had a good trip! Now we will all patiently await the trip report...with pictures of course. Can't wait to hear the stories involving the saki martini's (but I think we can all do without hearing the details of raw horse meat :scared1:)!

I am glad that you had a good time. But, in all honesty, I can't say that I would ever want to eat horse meat. Horses are friends not food! ;) Maggie
