First, can one get a DVC cash discount at any resort, or jsut the DVC's?
Second, are they only available when one is booking a DVC points stay in conjunction? Could you use the discount for a cash-only stay?
Third, are they only available certain times of year, rather like the Annual Pass discounts?
And lastly, how do you they usually compare to the AP discounts? better? Worse?
Thanks a bunch!

1. Only DVC resorts
2. Don't have to be in connection with points
3. Available year round. For studios, AP rates may be better since they are a flat dollar amount off. For 1 bedroom and up, usually the 25% DVC is better.
Be aware that there are some rooms that are not eligible for member discount - Boardwalk standard or boardwalk views, BCV 2 bedroom w/2 queens. I also believe there is a restriction on lockoffs at some resorts. And of course, always subject to availability.
You cannot "link" AP reservations to a points reservation, where you can with the member discount.

However, DVC discounted rooms are not always available. Usually they are available if MS thinks not all the rooms available will be booked on points. The member is supposed to stay in the room, so you can't get more than one villa on a DVC discount.
