Wow!!! The whole experience was absolutely great!
Before I start I would like to give a few words of encouragement and advice to future brides…..Disney knows what they are doing!!! I planned my wedding for 16 months and at the 8, 6, 4, and 1 month mark I questioned every decision I had made from where to stay for our free night to the color shirts they guys would be wearing with their tuxedos (I panicked about the shirts two days before delivery). I questioned my reception location, food, and liquor package several times and I am sure I drove my EM nuts!!! There are so many options to choose from that it can be very over whelming. Go with what you feel is right…stick with your first instinct and even if you need to cut some things out because you have exceeded your budget, it will be okay…Disney knows how to make it work. I did not end up changing anything (I did have to cut some things out) and my wedding turned out to be better than expected. I could not have been happier! And I can not say enough about the wonderful people on this board, you all got me through some pretty indecisive times!!! THANK YOU:grouphug:

Let me introduce the players!!!

A Magic Moment

Day One……..1:45 PM, 1:46, 1:47…..

We were all packed and ready to go…so I thought! We were supposed to leave the house at 1:45 to get a taxi at BIL’s house in Providence, RI at 2:30. Dave of course was running 15 minutes behind schedule (as always) which why EVERYTHING I scheduled was with 15 minute leeway…I know Dave’s family well!!! 2:00 PM and he is finally in the car.

Our flight left on time at 4:30 and we got into Orlando at 7:05……25 minutes early. The pilot was not sure if a gate was available and all I wanted to do was get off the plane!!! :hyper: We were in luck…a gate opened and we headed for Alamo. We got our car and we were off to the All Star Movies Resort. We check in with Tara who looked at our reservation and said “oh you are here for a wedding” and I responded “yes, ours” Tara eyes lit up, she was so excited for us. She took us to get all the tuxedos and when we were walking back to the desk Dave’s BM Jim came around the corner. Jimmy is a bit on the obnoxious side….he means well but says what ever he wants whether appropriate or not. He told Tara to have a bottle of champagne sent to the room. At that point I got nervous…really nervous, it was all so real now. I was there for my wedding!!! Tara also comped our refrigerator for us. After we received our keys Jimmy took us for a beer and we met up with his wife and son. I had not eaten all day so that beer went right to my head. :faint: We then went to our room and started unloading our car. Jimmy took everything in for us…he said he it was his job and he did not want me to break a nail lol.
We were in the Might Ducks building which is a quieter building with a pool.

We were in the room for about 20 minutes and there was a knock on the door. It was Tara and she had a box. She explained that management would not allow her to bring us champagne so she got us something else. It was Mickey and Minnie wedding bobble heads!!!! So sweet!

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/P5120072.jpg

After Tara left we had to deliver the welcome backs. So off we went to find my parents off site resort. On our way out we saw Magical Express coming in, so we decided to stop at the desk to see if my best friend Tricia and her husband Brian were checking in…and yup they were there. So I went running in to say hi and told them that we would be back in an hour to hang out. Jimmy and family went for the ride and we found my parents place with out a problem. We visited with my aunt, uncle, grand parents and parents for awhile, gave them their bags and left to find DH’s family’s off site resort. Map quest said it was 2 miles away. But Jimmy insisted his little navigation thingy was better than map quest. So 45 minutes later…yes I said 45 minutes later:eek: …we found the resort. It was literally down the street from my parents. But Jimmy had his little electronic device UPSIDE DOWN!!!!!!! :sad2: Needless to say…I picked on him for the rest of the trip. After we finally found the resort I called Tricia to let her know we got lost and to not wait up for us…it was now midnight! We delivered the welcome bags and tux’s. The boys had a few drinks while I munched on pizza…I had not eaten in 10 hours. I decided to open up one of the tux bags and discovered that it had an ivory vest in it!!! The groomsmen were wearing black vest and yellow ties…Dave was the only one wearing ivory. So I open all the tuxes and they all had ivory vest. I was panicking  when Jenny said "wait Ryan has two vests". So I sorted through all the bags and sure enough they all had one ivory vest and one black vest. Wwwoooohooooo.:cool1: I found out later that the order from the home store was confusing so After Hours put in both vest to be sure. I was so relieved. We then went back to ASMR, unpacked and went to bed!!!

Up next Sea World and the Bachlorette Party!!!

Congrats!!! WE had a Disney Wedding in 1998, (pre websites and internet)and we're going back for the first time in November to show our son the sights. We can't wait!

I agree with you about Disney doing such a wonderful job. I still say my Wedding was the best party I ever threw! I can't wait to see your pix.

Congrats again!

I just read your post again and realized Rev. Jack was your minister. He was ours too! Don't you just love him? The minute we met him we cancelled with the other prospects and just knew he was the one for us.

Now I have to go get out my pix and watch the DVD.:goodvibes

How nice of that CM to give you guys those bobbleheads! DH and I looked at them while in WDW but didnt want to pay for them (I think they are $30 or around it-- so that was super nice of her). I love your report so far. I Cant wait to hear what you thought of ASMovies? Im so glad you started your TR... and I can hardly believe you already got married!! It doesnt seem like it should be here yet!

Sending you and your DH a big Congratulations and a hug:hug:

Thanks Maggie
I know the planning time flew by and I can not believe we are married. We just got our marriage license yesterday and it so official :rotfl:
The bobble heads were $30 we saw them in the World of Disney. But there is a catch to this sweet gift (I will get to that later in my TR).
I liked the All Star Movies. The building decorations and pools were so fun! The rooms were a little small and I would probably not stay there again, but that is only because I need more space! I really liked having the food court. It was nice to be able to walk in and have a ton of choices. The food was good not too expensive either. With our DDE card most meals were about $15.00 for DH and I. So it was a good value and helped us spend a little more money on the wedding and receptions.

DH and I stayed at All Star Music in 2005. We stayed in the first building on the right (Calypso Building maybe?). I wasnt impressed. Im not sure if all of the AS resorts are like that but it just wasnt enough for me. Ive stayed in both moderate and deluxe resorts in the past and that was my first and only value resort. For the money its hard to pass up-- but once you stay in a deluxe its too easy to get spoiled!

Dont tell me that they tried to charge you for the gift because that guy asked for champagne and instead they brought that? I would die! I cant wait to hear more-- now you have me in suspense!

I know, I know, we were in Disney but I just love  SeaWorld and everybody wanted to go. Staying at ASMR with us was Jimmy and his family, Tricia and her hubby, my sister and my cousin Alena. I was very upset because DH and I were the only ones who rented a car! We had to chauffeur people all week!!! It was a little difficult fitting 6 adults and 1 child in the SUV…but we managed. We all went to breakfast and headed to SW.

Tricia excited to be going to Sea World
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/P4290007.jpg

DH and I were also going to visit Discovery Cove after the Wedding, so we had free passes to SeaWorld. We got to enter through guest relations and when I walked through the gate there was Shamu and baby!!!! I was so excited, so I called everyone over to look. I mean I made a spectacle of myself. That’s when DH pointed out that they were not real!!!! :lmao: Oh well. We proceeded directly to the Hospitality Center as we needed to sign up for Budweiser Beer School!!!! Come to find out they do not do an actual school with a certificate anymore but a beer tasting. We hung around the Hospitality Center for way too long drinking free beer. :drinking1 Then…DH’s family showed up and we hung around drinking free beer even longer. I finally had enough and went off with Tricia and Brian to see the fish!!! We stopped at the horse stalls first to see the Clydesdales. So enormous!

Then back to the beer tasting for more beer! I had not eaten....again, so Jimmy insisted on buying me lunch. I was annoyed becasue we were cutting so close to our tasting time, but thank goodness he forced me to eat. I would have passed out. It was actually a lot of fun. We picked out 4 beers to try and after each beer our beer connoisseur gave us chocolate or cheese (more food  ) to cleans the palate. I was the only female there, so I had to warn Rob that he had a rowdy bunch. They guys tried to get Rob to let them finish off each bottle and he said no. But by the end….they drank it all plus some!!! We went on Kraken and Tricia and I screamed like we were little girls…it was so fun. I got to release a lot of stress on the coaster. We left SW to meet my family for dinner at Portobello’s to celebrate my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. Dinner was very good but the service was slow. My sister was having a little bit of a fit because DH’s sisters, mom and aunt we waiting for us to meet them for my bachlorette party.

My bach party was at PI and we stayed at 8 Trax (my favorite) for most of the night. I do not have the pictures yet...but will post when I do. The girls gave me a crown and had a congratulatory message put up on the big screen for me. Some guy kept calling me Miss America…until I corrected him. We had a great time and we were sad to see the night end…but I was exhausted!!!

Day Three….Rehearsal

I forgot to mention that in the welcome bags was an itinerary with very detailed information. I had everything scheduled 15 minutes prior to the actual start time to all events.

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/P4070032.jpg

Our rehearsal was at 10 AM and I told everyone to be there at 9:45 AM. Well…we got lost and DH and I got there at 9:55…….still on time but Dave’s family thought we were late, they all stood at the entrance to WP with there arms crossed taping their foot. It was very funny. Rev. Jack and my planner Karen were great. The rehearsal was quick and everyone commented on how beautiful the WP was. When I walked in WP my little flower girls grabbed me by the hand and dragged me to the alter screaming "auntie Jill look, look. It is Cinderella's Castle". They were so excited! It was so sweet.

After the rehearsal we dropped our group off at the ASMR and DH and I headed to the Osceola Court House. This was Maggie's excellent suggestion And with her great directions it was pretty easy to find

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/P4300010.jpg

We waited for about 10 minutes on line. But the lady was so nice and freindly.

DH with the License for Rev. Jack to sign
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/P4300011-1.jpg

We left the court house and next on the itinerary was mani and pedis for the ladies at 1:30. We were running late so I kept trying to call my sister and Tricia to tell them to go with my mom and I would meet them there. But no one would answer their cell phones. I was getting very upset. The directions were in my room so I called Magic Nails to get directions and they could not tell my how to get there from Disney. I thought that very odd. I also verified they appointment time and oopppsssss I made a mistake the appointments were for 1:00PM!!!!! It was 12:45 and there was no way we would get there on time. I told the lady who answered the phone we would be late and she got a little snippy with me. I explained I got the times confused and we were late getting out of the court house. She said to get there as soon as we could. I tried calling Linsay and Tricia the whole way back and still no answer. I finally got back and tracked them down. I was so angry!!!! :furious: I was having my first bridezilla moment!! We got lost on the way and finally arrived at 1:30…..so my itinerary was right lol. Now DH’s family was very lost and they did not get there until 2:00. Linsay was great and stayed on the phone with Patty the entire time. Once I got my feet into the soaking bath I calmed down and apologized to everyone for being a bridezilla. That was really my only break down the whole trip. At Magic Nails I was the first done with my pedi…the 3rd to start, first to finish and my toes looked terrible! Everyone else got the leg massage and lotion…I got nothing!!! Hello I am the bride!. The finger nails came out better. But one of my toes was messed up. The girl who did them just picked off the bubbled polish and walked away. She came back few minutes later and told me I was done. I told her that it was unacceptable and to redo it. So she did...with an attitude. Most of the girls redid their nails when we got back the resort. My mani looked nice but the polished bubbled. I would not recommend them at all!

We got back to the resort and changed for the rehearsal dinner at ‘Ohana. The boys were ready and waiting. And I once again forgot to eat!!! When we got to ‘Ohana my family was already there. DH’s family was a half hour late but we had a fabulous time. The kids learned to hula and did the coconut race. The adults pigged out and DH could not finish his plate (which never happens). Our waiters were excellent and the drinks were yummy.

After dinner the boys went out for DH’s second bachelor party. I guess Jimmy got rowdy in the Adventures Club and was kicked out, but DH said the night was fun.

My sister, Tricia and I went to the store to pick up food to munch on while we were getting ready the next day and for cold medicine for my very sick sister.

We came back and Tricia and I went to the pool bar for a margarita. She put together a wedding day itinerary of her own and we discussed what needed to happen the next day...the wedding day! I went back to my room and took a shower because Ana prefers day old dirty hair and then headed to my sister’s room for some much needed sleep. But I definitely ate that day!!!

Next up....The Wedding Day

Sorry to hear about your mani/pedi fiasco...no excuse, especially with a bridal party!

:rotfl: It was ALL about the BEER. This is the whole reason DH wanted to go! To tell the truth...the last time we went to Disney we went to Sea World and Busch Gardens and went to Beer School twice. DH was so excited about his TWO Certificates that he told his whole fam. And that is why we went again. And yes our certificates are proudly (???) hanging in my family room! :rotfl2:

Well, as soon as DF (and his brothers and my MOH's husband) find out about this, they will definitely be partaking in that! I think I'll tell them about it after the wedding though...

How fun! I may even have to get my certificate.

Sorry, I meant to post more sooner but my second reception is this weekend and we have so much to do:)

Day 4 THE WEDDING DAY

So 16 months of planning was finally here. I woke up to my sister grinning at me. We got up, I took a quick shower

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/Startin20the20Wedding20Day20with20a.jpg

and got Tricia for breakfast. It was nice, just the three of us. I was not nervous at all. We got back to the room and Sue from Carolyn Allen’s showed up. She walked in and we all just looked at her funny….I asked her if she had my dress and she looked at me in horror.:scared1: She did not have the dress!!! But she was 35 minutes early and left immediately to get the dress. Now for those of you who read my post about shipping or space bagging…well I shipped the dress. So at the moment I was just happy the dress made it!!!! I was not worried or upset, it was 10:25 AM and my wedding was at 5PM. There was plenty of time.

Lin and Tricia applying Crest Whitestrips:rotfl:

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/P5010059.jpg

Then Ana form Beaute Speciale showed up. She had so much make up and supplies with her!!! She started on my sister’s hair first.

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/P5010064.jpg

My sister was doing everyones makeup but mine, so when she was done my mother got her hair done and Linsay started setting up her own makeup area. Ana was GREAT! She asked a lot of questions before she started each girl’s hair and did exactly what we wanted. My sisters curls started to fall out due to humidity, but Ana fixed them. She did an amazing job on my hair and makeup and covered my tattoo. She was friendly and easy to talk to. She fit right in.

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/P5010067.jpg

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/All20done1.jpg

During hair and makeup Sue came back with my dress and steamed it along with 4 other dresses. She did a great job. It was now 2:47 and I had been calm all day and then I saw Dave’s brother Brian walk by the room without his tux on…they had to be in the limo in 13 minutes…..what was he doing??????? Ana felt me tense and told me it would be fine, it was my day and guys could get ready very quickly. I was glad she was there! Apparently they made the limo okay. At the same time the rest of my bridal party started to show up and I was starting to feel very claustrophobic in my sisters now very little hotel room! Tricia got everyone to go into her room (she had adjoining rooms with my sis). Then it was time for me to get dressed. All the girls except for my mom and Linsay went into Tricia’s room. And I secretly got dressed with help from Linsay and my mom. It was such a nice moment…..mom pulling up the dress so the “twins” would fall into place….Linsay under the dress trying to pull down the crinoline!!!! Uummmm great moment! But I was finally ready

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/If20everyone20follows20the20itenira.jpg
My sisters caption for this picture is "If we just follow the itinerary everything will be fine" She knows me so well! :rotfl2:

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/Im20getting20married20today1.jpg

my dad arrived…he walked in a got teary eyed, then my mom got teary eyed…and I had to tell them to stop…….I did have eyelashes on!!!! Then the girls walked in and oohhhed and ahhed. I felt so special!!!. It was then time to go the limo…that was parked at the very far away lobby. Tricia’s DH decided it was too far for me to walk and went to the lobby to ask the driver to drive down to get me. In the meantime the housekeeping staff heard there was a bride, so they all got in the golf carts and drove over to see me and say congratulations!!!! They were so sweet : ) As we were getting in the limo I asked Tricia if her DH knew that we were going to the WP first and not the Yacht Club. She yelled out the window and told him but I didn’t think he understood. Too late we were driving and no one had a cell. My girls brought some champagne and my sister made a very sweat toast but all I could think about was the fact that I was sweating and kept have to air my arm pits!!! My sis assured me she had my deodorant just in case…..come to find out she forgot it!!!

Patty in the limo

We got to the GF and Randy was waiting along with Harold…the man who carried my train for all the pictures…..I love Harold!!! The pictures went well and the flowers were amazing.

Randy was so easy to work with. He even dealt with the fact that I could not keep my eyes open in the sun! The little FG’s were so cute in the sand. Randy took a picture of them taking off their shoes to get the sand out. We were then taken over to the WP for the ceremony and I was immediately taken to the bridal room..and we waited..and waited and waited. Apparently my mother ripped the hem on her dress before the ceremony even started and my uncle was sewing it for her! Once she was mended the ceremony started..and it was beautiful. (Sorry no pic yet)

The doors whisked open and all I saw was DH standing there. It was an amazing moment and I can not remember too much more!!! My father and I got to the alter and I could tell DH was really nervous. During the vows he got very teary eyed so I had to make a few face gestures. I raised my eyebrows during “forgive” and everyone laughed and Rev. Jack said” I don’t know what you did” and then continued with the vows I was saying…but I did not hear him and said “what?” and everyone laughed again. Now the raising of the eyebrows…..everyone questioned me about what DH had done for that reaction. Well he did not do anything…he has a saying he uses frequently “it is easier to ask forgiveness than it is to ask for permission” and when he says that I always make a face…that is what that was about. It lightened the moment. Dave and I had a memorial table in memory of those who had passed. On the table were pictures of his father, grandparents and my grandparents and a vase with forget-me-knots. My sister was standing in front of the table so I was unable to see it. During one of the prayers my sister step to the side almost as if some had said excuse me and asked her to move. At that moment I saw my grandparent’s picture (it a pic of them at my parents wedding) and I knew my grandmother was there. It was a moment I will never forget. During one of the readings our 14 month old nephew decided to get loose and run around…but that was absolutely adorable. We kissed and were announce Mr. and Mrs.!!!
As we walked out of the WP, I noticed Tricia’s DH sitting in the back. I thought it was very odd. He knows my family, why would he not sit with them????

Story ~ Brian (Tricia’s DH) did not know where the WP was and he was driving by himself with no one to follow. Well he got lost and he got pulled over…doing 70 in a 35!!! Now what is even funnier is Brian is a police officer and he out of all people gets pulled over on his way to my wedding…oh I am still hysterical over it. :lmao: He handed the Disney Police Officer his badge and had to sit and wait for 15 minutes while tour buses and families drove by. The Disney Officer finally let him go and gave him directions to the WP. He was 20 minutes late! My EM told him to just sneak in and no one would know he was late. But….he opened the door and everyone turned around and stared at him. :rotfl: Poor guy. He was so afraid we would be mad at him. I am sad he missed most of the ceremony but again I am still laughing!!!

Back to the ceremony….We had our staged exit and came back to WP and Randy took tons of pictures. Once we finished with the wedding party pictures everyone left and DH and I had to wait for the limo to come back which took a little longer than I thought it would. But…Randy took pictures the whole time and A Magic Moment shot extra video.

Now we party at the Yacht Club!!!

I was a little disappointed because I did not get to see any of the cocktail hour, but that went away when Karen took us in to see the reception room. The reception room was one of the things I kept thinking of changing and some of you may remember that I was nervous because I thought the room would be too big and not decorated enough…turns out simple was better and the room was gorgeous. Just enough color, so elegant…just what I wanted. I took my breath away! We talked with DJ Steve for a little while and then we waited in another room while our guests enter the reception room to “Be Our Guest”. Then we were introduce and immediately started out first dance; Push by Sarah McLachlan.

The best man had a very nice toasted which was written on toilet paper.
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/Best20man20speech1.jpg

Everyone thought it funny but my dad new something else. My father said a prayer the night before that his parents (the ones whose pictures was on the memorial table) would be present at my wedding. Come to find out Jimmy’s toilet paper speech had a significance. When my grandfather was in the army he used to write to my grandmother on toilet paper!!! So my grandfather made it too : ) My uncle said a beautiful blessing, that made me cry and then we ate…and the food was outstanding!!!! I did not go to Fl for a tasting…so I had no idea what the food was going to taste like. It was better that I expected. The menu was Penne Ala Vodka, garden salad with a baked cheese bowl, followed by either Oak grilled tenderloin with a port demi glaze, Parmesan Crusted Chicken or Tilapia with Mango Salsa. This kids loved the Chicken Fingers and Mickeyroni and Cheese and came over to thank me! Then the glass clinking began and we had to kiss. Our Dj Steve (who was excellent) told everyone that when ever a table clinked their glasses, they had to sing a song with the word love in it. Well one of the tables that had DH’s family at it started clinking their glasses. DH and I kissed and our little 6 yr old niece got up, took the mic from the DJ and started sing……..Don’t you wish your girlfriend was hot like me”!!!!!!! Her parents were mortified but it was so funny and she was so cute. As a joke I go up and asked her parents why they let their daughter listed to that kind of music. It was priceless!!! Another table started clinking glass and our 3 ½ yr old niece got up and say you are my sunshine. It was a lot of fun.

We did our father/daughter and mother/son dances and then we cut our cake. It was beautiful!!!!

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/Cake20cutting20time1.jpg

I told Karen that I wanted a piece of each layer!!! And it was sooooo good! DH and I did not smash cake into each others faces…I was a little nervous about that!!! But we got a cake that served 50 ppl and there were 30 there. So just about everyone got to taste each layer. I could not have asked for a better celebration!

At the end the DJ played Good Night Sweet Heart. Dave’s BIL Dave said some very nice words about how he thought it was great that two families could come together and get along so well. Then my father took the mic and started signing “Good Night Sweetheart” again…and everyone joined in. It was perfect. The whole day was a dream come true!

We left the Yacht Club and a group of us went to PI for a few more drinks. I was not ready to end the night. I wore my veil, and told everyone we met that I was married. Jimmy managed to buy way too much beer and we had to drink it, ALL OF IT….NOT a good idea.

Up next Why it was not a good thing to drink all that beer and Swimming with the DOLPHINS!!!

hulagirl - thank you, I loved my flowers and they were so fresh the lasted a week and a half! I brought them home on the plane with me.

jodeeluvsdisney - thank you...at that point there was nothing I could do if something did go wrong. So I figured I would just enjoy the day. I am sure on your day you will be just as calm :)

Thank you M&M!!!

Day 5…….need more sleep…and 1000 Advil!

I did not go to be until about 3 AM and my cell started ringing at 8 AM. The groomsmen wanted to bring their tux’s back so I could get them to the lobby for pick up before 10 AM. I was not feeling pretty; it was going to be a bad day. This morning was the reason I stopped drinking in my late 20’s. I only had a few beers at the reception….but PI, I had way too much!!!

The guys dropped the tux’s off at 9 AM and I went to get my sister up…I needed coffee bad!!! I managed to get Dave up, we had breakfast and headed to MGM around noon. The first ride….Tower of Terror….I do NOT suggest this ride if you are hung-over. Nor do I suggest ride number two…the Aerosmith Rock N’ Roll coaster. What were my sister, cousin and DH thinking??? Now I needed Tums!!! We met up with part of Dave’s family. I noticed that DH’s brother’s girlfriend had a very large bag with her and I decided to ask if by chance she had any Tums. SCORE, a whole bottle. The day was starting to look up! After a nice afternoon with DH’s family we broke away and met up with my family for a little dinner and Fantasmic. I was exhausted...time for bed!

Day Six…Discovery Cove!!!

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/M050307_00_2654.jpg

This was a day I was so excited for. We got to the park and had a nice continental breakfast. Then we swam with the sting ray. So cool! Little slimy but the are so gentle.

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/P5030006.jpg

Then we snorkeled in the coral reef. That was a little overwhelming. DH does not swim very well and I have a fear of water…well I do not like to swim in places were I can not see the bottom and I do not like fish!!! So it was a little odd that two people who have a fear of water were at Discovery Cove! But we got over our fear and swam with the fishes. The sting ray were as big as my car!!!! We got out of the water and had some snacks and a drink (everything was included including the beer).

Next up the aviary. We got to feed the birds and I stood next to a peacock! They also had little tiny deer that would let you pet them. Then we went for a swim on the tropical river, which went through the aviary.

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/P5030037.jpg

Another beer, some more snacks and it was time for our dolphin swim!!! I was so excited. Our dolphin’s name was Akai. He was so sweet and loved to be pet, just like a dog! We took pictures with him and then he took us for a ride. It was such an amazing experience.

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/M050307_00_9813.jpg

After we got lunch and then just sat on the beach and watched the dolphins swim. It was such a relaxing day. It was nice to do our own thing by ourselves for a day.

That night we went to dinner with my family because they were all leaving in the morning. Dinner was okay. We said our good byes and met up with Jimmy, Tricia and her DH and went to PI’s Ragland Road. Ragland Road is a restaurant so you do not have to pay PI admissions to get in. We had a nice casual night and went to bed. I was so exhausted.

Up Next Epcot, a little magic...and the Extra charge on my bill!!!

GREAT Discovery Cove pix! Did you guys do the basic package or the upgraded one? I can't decide if the upgrade is worth it....

We did the upgraded one with the Dolphin Swim and so worth the money!!! The park is fun, but I do not think there is that much to do without the Dolphin Swim. I just happened to find this discount when we booked....

Use the promo code "TNC" when booking a trip to Discovery Cove, and Busch will donate $25 to Rescue the Reef. Include a dolphin swim with your trip (and, don't most people do that anyway?) and you'll save 15 percent off the admission price with this promo code.

We saved $80 and they made a donation for each ticket!!!! Definitely worth the money and I would do it again!

Day 7…Epcot
We got a little magic in Epcot. First we tried to get onto Soarin and the wait was 65 min. One of the cast members heard us talking and gave us a fast pass to get on immediately! Then Figment took DH’s just married pin and put it on himself and paraded me into his “place” were many children and parents were waiting for his autograph. He told (or motioned) to everyone that he married me not DH and showed everyone my rings. Then he swatted DH with his tail!!! It was so funny!!!

Sorry for the blurryness...DH took these with his cell phone

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n272/jmmastra/05-04-07_1513.jpg

Then we went on Missions Space and they announce that the young couple (which made me smile since we are in our mid to late 30’s) on spot seven just got married and at the count of three everyone say “awwwww” :rotfl:

We got to listen to Mickey and Minnie’s wedding message after Illuminations and we got free dessert in Italy!!! We enjoyed the extra magic hours and then went back to the ASMR to pack for the Grand Floridian!!!

Day 8……AK, MK, GF and the answer to who REALLY paid for the bobble heads!

When I got up I check the door for our bill. I reviewed the bill and it only went up to May 2nd. The bottom was all smudged and there was a charge for “wedding magic” for $30. So I called the desk and asked for the final amount the was being charged to my card since the info was not on my bill. She gave me a total of $130 more than what I expected. I questioned the discrepancy and she could not give me an answer. She put me on hold for 5 minutes and came back and told me that the extra $100 was the deposit. I told her that she did not answer my question. The deposit was already charge to my credit card 4 months ago and I wanted the charge that was being placed on the card today. Still it was more than expected. I asked her why I was being charged for “wedding magic” when we were the bride and groom!!! She did not know what the charge was and no one could explain it. They were not going to take it off the bill!!! :scared1: That’s when I lost my cool and told here that I was the bride and I did not give anyone any wedding magic and it was a gift to me so why should I have to pay for it? She had no answer and finally took it off the bill. Come to find out they billed us for the bobble head gift that Tara gave us when we checked in!!! I am still waiting for my cc to be charged to see what that final charge actually is!!!

After my break down on the phone we grab breakfast and went to the Animal Kingdom which was packed!!!! And it was so hot! We only did a few rides before leaving because we could not handle the crowds. We did get to go on Expedition Everest which was a great coaster. Loved it!!! We left and went to GF to check in. We checked into the honeymoon suite which was beautiful and made dinner reservations at Citricos. I asked ASMR to transfer our luggage to GF and 6 hours later it still was not there! I was not happy because I had to go to dinner in my park clothes and I felt very under dressed. Before dinner we walked around GF and took pictures and sat on the beach and relaxed.

We went to dinner and it was delicious. We were seated by a window and saw another wedding party pass by. During dinner they called to let us know our luggage was in. After dinner we went to MK to met up with some of DH’s family and to see SpectroMagic and the fire works. Our niece and nephew were so cute during the shows. They had never been to Disney before so it was so special to see the sparkle in their eyes.

After MK we went back to GF…Some one…had brought Champagne, a rose and a card from princess Aurora up to the room for us! Before opening the champagne we went to one of the lounges and had a few drinks. Then went back to the room, popped open the bottle and toasted to new beginnings.

Day 9…Our last day
GF offered a complimentary continental breakfast to use, but it was only available until 10:30. Of course Dave was running late, so I went to breakfast myself. Out of the kindness of my heart (even though annoyed) I put together a plate for him. I asked one of the cast memebers if it was okay to take it back to the room. I told her “my last fiancé…oopss I mean husband can’t get his lazy butt out of bed” We laughed at my faux pas and the said “shouldn’t he be getting you breakfast?” The plan was to hang out at GF for a while but with the luggage it was too complicated. So instead we went over to the Yacht Club to take pictures. We never got to see the patio were the cocktail hour was, or the grounds. So we walked around for a while and saw Sue…the lady who steamed my dress.

We then made our way over the Market Place were we saw DH’s sister and family. We hung out with them for a little while and then said goodbye, our flight was leaving that night and they were leaving to go visit some friends. Dave and went back to shopping; Every trip we take to Disney we always buy a snow globe, it’s our tradition. So our intent at the Market Place was to buy the wedding snow globe. We liked the one with Mickey and Minnie but there were no boxes. So we took one to the counter and they told us they had no boxes and could not ship it. We were so upset!!! (When we got home I called and ordered it, but it was still a little disappointing.) We ate lunch and then went to West Side were we were caught in a nasty thunderstorm…the only rain of the whole week and it was 4 hours before our flight…not bad!!! Then sadly it was time to head to the airport….

And now we start our happily ever after...The End

Thank you for sharing your story with us! We had the exact same cake as you (at least on the outside). But we used the standard Mickey & Minnie Topper. I liked your Figment story - we finally managed to find Figment on our most recent trip and he was great.

I noticed you said you wished you hadn't rented a car because you were chauffering your guests around. I can see that, but I really wished we had rented a car (a minivan!) because our guests had such trouble getting around. My parents, siblings, DH and I spent close to 4 hours on Disney Transportation the night before the wedding because we had to get from parks to hotels, etc... People had trouble figuring stuff out. Better to chauffer than have to worry about people getting lost! :rotfl2:

Oh, and that is terrible that they tried to charge you for the bobble heads. We had a bottle of champagne waiting for us when we got back from dinner on our wedding night. Even though DH and I never drink, we were considering taking the bottle with us to maybe give to my parents or something, then we reconsidered because we weren't sure they were going to charge us if we took us (like a mini bar charge). Looks like they probably would have tried!

Actually I am glad we had a car. It made things much easier. I was just a little annoyed that the 2 other families (mainly the best man, since he has a child) staying at the same hotel did not even think about renting a car and relied on us to get them to places...including our wedding! The last thing I needed to do was figure out how they were getting to and from the wedding. I just felt it was a little inconsiderate. BUT it all worked out and we had a great time. I think Disney transportation is great, but having to be on Disney transportation for 4 hours is not fun!

We had a similar thing happen to us. When we got home, there was a charge from Disney Resort Reservations for $48.50 but no indication what it was. I had to call the billing number, who talked to my planner, who eventually took it off. No one could tell me what it was for. How is that possible at Disney?? :confused3

Glad you noticed the charge and got it taken off as well! I'm always amazed how many people just accept whatever charges that appear when they could easily be an error!

Congrats on both your wedding and finishing your trip report! (I got married a week earlier than you and haven't finished yet. Oops. ;) )

Still, the bestman did not ask for the bobble heads, so he should not have been charged either! I agree people do need to look at their bills. Many people pay for things they never used/puchased.
