Yes...another poll. I'd like to get an idea of an average number of points a typical DVC'er owns. I'm not looking for people to post how many points they have (many would consider that confidential information), so a simple vote in the poll will suffice.

202 here! - I was excited to see the 200-300 category. we added 52 pts at HHI after our original 150 at BWV to specifically be able to reserve rooms for a period of 4 weekdays at a time, hence the odd total amount. We haven't used our HHI points since our original stay there over 5 years ago, but have traded and rented them for other great experiences. We intend to return either next summer or the summer following.

We bought 150 BWV points early last year. Then we almost immediately added 180 VWL points. Then this year we bought 200 AKV points as AKL is our absolute favorite resort in the world. I sense a trend here...

We started with a 200 point contract at SSR in January 2006...just added another 100 last week. I'd like to think that will suffice for awhile, but we really like taking friends/family along on our vacations, so the points disappear quickly...and DW is talking about additional trips each year. I'd like to hold out for CRV...fingers crossed.:rolleyes:

While I would love to have the 400 - 600 points that many here have, DH is holding firm at a MAX of 2 Disney vacations per year. We went three times in the last year :banana: and he was all Disney'd-out by the third one and said it was just too much. :confused3

I will do a third trip solo, then! But to conserve points, will likely stay in an OKW studio for my solo trip.

Help! I'm a DVC Point addict.
I have 280 points, which might not sound like much, but as of last August I owned 0.
I bought a 70 pt. BCV resale, a month or so later added 50 pt WLV, bought 130 points at AKV (originally asked for 100), and just this week added another 30 at BCV.
And I want more!
I am rethinking the AKV points, however. I have two contracts (60 &70) and may sell one down the road for GCV or CV.

Made the "mistake" of staying our last night of our trip last week at AKL...now addoitis has set in and I am playing with numbers to buy some AKL points for a studio stay once/year. Loved it!

I also plan to add on another 50 at SSR. Now that I've had a few trips with DVC, I have a better idea of my current vacationing patterns.

We have 250 points with two contracts (200 BCV, 50 AKV). Hopefully someday we can be in the 500+ range. Even then I doubt that would be "enough" points.

We started with 300 @SSR and added 100 more before it opened. We added 30 @ BCV followed by two 75's at BCV for a total of 180 there. We sold the 100 pts @ SSR to help pay for the 150 pts @ BCV. So we are left with 300 SSR pts and 180 BCV pts for a total of 480, but we held 580 for a short period.

We currently have 1000 points (200,230 OKW... 270 BWV, 300 BCV) But we are toying with selling the 200 point contract at OKW and buying the new CRV if that ever happens, or posibly AKV since we like the 5 in a one bedroom option there)

BUT the big issue is we are always borrowing so we would have to not use any points from that 200 point OKW contract for 2 years, before we could get someone to even look at buying it :lmao: I guess that means we would have to add on first, then sell!

That's right... another 150 at AKV, for a total of 450 at AKV. That's in a addition to 800 VWL, and 300 VB.

New total- 1550.
With that said, our most recent add on was more of a "reshuffle". We have already called The Timeshare Store to get the ball rolling on selling 450 at VWL. We have looked closely at our vacation patterns, and since VWL doesn't have GVs, we need the extra points at AKV.

I don't want to lose my VWL reputation. :eek: We will still be staying at VWL twice a year, but AKV will be our "bring down the family" resort since they have the GVs. :smokin:

I am on the fence because I also love courtyard view at the Wilderness Lodge and want to do a WDW cruise on cash.
