I see the Poly has a laundry service. Is it the same as other places non-Disney. Like $1 a lb of laundry?

No, it's per garment like a dry cleaners. Both dry cleaning and laundry service are offered. It's not inexpensive though.

I've actually never stayed in a hotel that offered laundry/lb.?

It's more like $1 per 1/2 ounce. I posted to a thread a while back the prices for laundry service. I have it at home and will post later on.
