I was just curious. I am not sure how things work with DVC and renting points but was just curious as to whether you can get something for a 1 or 2 nights?:cool2:

Yes, DVC allows one night reservations similar to any resort. Whether you can find someone willing to go through the hassle of renting for one or two nights might be a different matter.

Back before I bought, I rented. First time I started out with two rooms, for two nights each. Then changed to one room for 3 nights (my in-laws were too ill to come with us, and this way we didn't have to move our last night, which was a Friday). I didn't pay a "premium" for the shorter rental period, and the renter was very gracious.
Second time, I rented one night only. I paid $1 more per point than I would have liked, but I felt that since I was looking for a specific resort, and only one night, it was the renters right to ask for more.

We have a DVC Rent/Trade Board here on the DIS where you may want to visit for all kinds of rental information. Good luck!
