Hilton Head - April

While its still fresh in everyones minds, how was Hilton Head this past April?? Thinking of trying it next year, we used to go to South Carolina (inland) during April vacation when we were kids, and I just can't remember the weather!!!

We were there from April 28th through May 4th and the weather was perfect! Temps were in the low 80's during the day and the upper 50's at night. It was lovely.

Living in SC I can attest to the unpredictability of the weather in April. For example, this past April we had several 30 degree days and several 80 degree days.

On average you can usually expect mid-60s to mid-70s during the day, 40s-50s at night, with a couple rainy days each week.

We live in the northern part of the state but wouldn't expect HH to be much different, maybe a little warmer.

Heritage Week this year was cold and rainy---that was early April. A week later it was hot and gorgeous. You never really know what to expect.

Thanks as a kid, we visited my grandparents in a little town called Cross, SC. It was either so hot you couldn't breath, or cold and wet!! But I could be getting confused, we always went for Easter, and sometimes Easter was in March?? But there were years when he drove out to Charleston, Isle of Palms or Myrtle Beach and were able to spend the day in the water!! Just a thought at this point, not sure if at the 7 month window I would be able to get a 2 br??

We were there first week of April and it was gorgeous!!! Amazing beach weather, not humid, not too hot, just perfect. Enjoy it!

I was able to book a 2 br at 7 months for this year. We went the 3rd week of April, and it was windy and cool. Both the week before and the week after were in the 80s of course. At least we avoided that nasty nor'easter that hit New England with all the rain.

We were there the week before Easter... absolutely gorgeous!! It cooled down 20+ degrees on Friday (from 85 on Thursday to cold 60's). The following week was miserable in NC, and as I checked the weather, it was pretty cold (32 on Easter) the following week at HHI.

The year before we were there the last week of April and it was in the 70's and nice. We went swimming at the pool and in the ocean.
