Hi everyone!

I need some help -- I am currently holding rooms for the 4 day Wonder on 5/5 with 4 nights at Disney. However, since we've been to Disney every year for 17+ years, I am considering doing the 7 night with a 1 night stay in Disney. When I figured out the cost, it will definitely save me money doing the 7 night as I don't have the hotel/tickets/meals involved with a Disney resort stay.

Other than the obvious #of nights difference and ports of call, can you help me with the difference on these two trips. This is our first cruise.

We are traveling with four children (4-12), will they get bored of the ship? They are easily entertained and would probably love it if all they did was play games and played on the computers for a week. My 8 yr replied, when asked about a 7 night cruise over a 4 night split "Aaaah, 7 days to relax." He gets tired touring the parks!

Anyway ... back to my question, could you help me with the comparison? Dining options? Spa treatments? Kid club activities? Shore excursions?

Thanks!

The 7 day cruise was a perfect vacation for us -- we loved the relaxing feeling. It was also nice to be able to go about on our owns for a little each day. Your kids will probably love the clubs. There also is an arcade (must purchase arcade cards to use the machine's). My kids just liked the freedom to relax sometimes and do an activity if they wanted to ---- If they wanted to was they key phrase - they often just relaxed by the pool or with their newfound friends.

On the 7 day, you will rotate between the 3 dining rooms 2 times each and then repeat one dining room a 3rd time. You will have regular rotation dining 3 nights, and themed dining 4 of the nights. To view the menus for the 7 day go to:

You can also view the kids Navigators, Shore excursions, Spa treatments available, as well as room service menu's and Palo menu's on these sites. You will find a wealth of info to study there - then come back here and ask any questions that you still may have ---- and you are sure to come up with many;) .

We have only cruised on the 7 day, so I can't compare from experience. However, suffice it say that, after four days on board I asked my husband, "So, would you be satisfied at this point and be ok with going home?" and he answered, "NO WAY!"

We really loved the relaxed atmosphere of the 7 day cruise and our dd7 adored the whole trip. (Except for the pools - they leave a bit to be desired.) She really enjoyed the time she spent at the Oceaneer's Club - she went every evening after the show, which gave us some "couple time" - something that we usually don't have on a family vacation. We went for a nightcap, sat in on the cabaret show, took a stroll on the deck - all while knowing dd was safe and could contact us by beeper if she wanted us. (She never wanted us!) :p

We have been to DisneyWorld twice in the last few years and quite honestly there wasn't a huge amount of difference. Last year we did the Land/Sea and we're taking the 7 night cruise on 1/26.

In my opinion, I would take the 7 night cruise. The 3 night cruise we went on was not long enough and there is PLENTY to do .. for ALL ages. I'm a single mom and I had a blast .. and my son, who is 11 had a great time, too.

Not to 'diss' DisneyWorld, but I think you should try the 7 night cruise .. and skip DW for a year :)

Just my opinion!

Our children opted to miss the park when they found out there was a 7 day back in 2000. We will be on our 4th cruise on DCL this March. 3 out of the 4 were the 7 day cruise. Will your children be bored, no not if they are out going. Kathy
