Holiday April 9th 2007-April 23rd.

The last time we went to WDW was October 2004, it was suppose to be a trip of a life time, something we was only going to do the once, somewhere I dreamed of going but never thought I would. I think many of us have probably said the same thing.
My Dad had been diagnosed with cancer for the 2nd time and was very ill with my time spent at work or around my parents house things were tough for a while. We had started to save money for our new kitchen but after the bad time we had had with Dad we thought blow it were going back to WDW whilst were fit and the DD's are children. So after many months of hospital visits and my Dads op and we knew he was going to be ok we booked to go back. This time we didnt tell the girls. We booked through Thomas cook with Virgin holidays, we booked Jan 06.

It was Easter Sunder the day we had all been waiting for, we told the girls on Chloe's Birthday, six weeks before, what a day that was, but thats another story that most of you probably read about.

I had got most things sorted everything packed.
The girls went to Church (they belong to the Sunday School and sing in the Junior Choir). DH and I done the last few jobs, Took Willow our beautiful Flat-Coated Retriever around to my parents I done the last bit of washing up and gave the lounge another quick hoover now that Willow had gone. When DH got back we loaded the cases into the car and went to pick the girls up from church. They were so excited they had had a lovely morning.

We then went to my parents, my mum had cooked us a lovely roast dinner with all the trimmings, I think she thought she would give us a "proper" meal before we started eating burgers and fries.

Around 1pm we left my parents and Willow and started our journey to Gatwick. On the way we stopped of at Jonathans parents to say our goodbyes.

Our drive to Gatwick Airport went really well there wasnt a lot of traffic and we got there in about 2 and a half hours.
We checked it at The Hilton then took our cases to Twilight Check-In, again all went well. We then took the car over to the Summer Special car park and got the bus back to the airport. It was 5pm by this time. We had a look around the airport got some sandwiches from Boots (bargain they just reduced everything to 75p) and got coffee from Starbucks.

We went back to the Hilton rang my parents and got ready for bed. I filled in the Visa Waver forms and the girls tried to get to sleep. it was around 9pm when they got to sleep so not bad at all really.

I didnt sleep very well. I was soooo excited :woohoo: :woohoo: :rolleyes1

Great start Sharon - that family room at the Hilton looks familiar. I just love staying at the airport the night before. Did your kids find the bunk beds really creaky :)
