In this month's issue of Good Sam's Highways magazine there is an article on Work Camping. Does anyone know if WDW has a Work Camping program at FW or can people work for WDW while at FW for extended stays? This would be a really cool thing to do for those who winter in Florida and to work at WDW , live at FW and get paid for it, sweet!:cool1:

I read an article quite a while back about a couple that work camped at Disney. If I remember right, they did not provide them with a site, they had to pay for it. The only thing gave them were tickets for their family every once in a while.

I talked to a couple who were staying at the fort last summer and they were working at Animal Kingdom. They were from Michigan and from what they said they had to pay for their site but it was at a cm rate which was pretty good.
They had a son about 12 or so that was hanging around the campground all day without being watched and he was driving Miss Sundee crazy.

Yea, I've heard of quite a few people who do this, I myself always wondered about it. I know some of the longer stay visitors will work in the parks on a part time basis from time to time.

I know of a few long termers that do that also. I don't think their stay at the Fort and working at WDW is an "official" relationship however. They book their stay, then apply for part time work at WDW.
Some of them "may" convert some of their nites to CM rates (depending on availability), but most nights are probably booked at AP or AAA rates.
