I used to until about 3 months ago when I broke my fingers and was told I had to skip the season.

Then I left public school so I don't have a chance to do it anymore.

But my priorities are way different now, so I don't think I'm even interested in it anymore.

I'm hoping to make it to varsity next year, but I'm not sure I'm good enough. But I love the sport. and I hate it when guys are like "oh its such an easy sport" and then they see an actual game and they take it back:upsidedow

I don't play anymore as HS volleyball is out of my league.

i did in 7+8th grade. in fact i'm wearing my volleyball pants where they spelled it vollyball. oh yeahh.

and everyone wants me to play in HS but i can't since it's during the tennis season. well i just won't for Freshman year. i'll say that.

I am a setter on my varsity volleyball team!! I love volleyball and I miss the season sooo much. At my school we play volleyball in the winter. But I also play field hockey which I love to death as well.

I'm a HS sophomore and I've been playing for 3 years. I'm a junior varsity captain and outside hitter. I also serve on varsity because (for some completely insane and unknown reason) one of the varsity players can't serve. Can someone explain to me how somebody can make varsity and not be able to serve?

I've been playing volleyball for 4 years[this is my fourth]. I started playing in 5th grade. I'm now in 8th. I love this sport! I currently play club/travel. *In fact, I had a tournament yesterday* I'm 5'8 and am a Middle Hitter/Blocker. My dream is to go to University of Florida on a full ride vball scholarship!:cloud9:

I got into an arguement with one of our basketball players about how he thought volleyball was easy. I saw him at one of my games and during warm up I told him to dive on the floor to get the ball, and he said no way, which proved my point. So next time someone says that just ask them if the would throw themselves on the floor to save a ball so that your butt is saved from your coach.

volleyball came naturally to me, i tried out freshman year for fun, and i ended up playing both JV and Varsity that year, then varsity ever since

I played Vball 6-9th grade and I played alot of club ball too. But once highschool season was over freshmen year I got involved in drama, and the people there are nicer, the vball girls at my school are all brats. and idk the coachs were good coaches but not nice people so I jsut kinda stoped. I LOVE the sport.but hated the drama involved within the team. I was an outside hitter too in case anyone wanted to know lol.

As for the whole being able to be on varsity and not serve thing.....My guess would be the player is an amazing setter/hitter/DS (I think thats what its called? someone correct me...) , but serving is not there strong suit, its not htat they can't its just they aren't good enough to risk it in a game. My freshmen year there were two freshmen on varsity they were amazing setters, but thats all they did, they would go in set and then be subbed out. Serving is almost kind of like its own position in a way. Or thats how it seemed to be at my HS.

I did too. We did better last week. We won 2 games, lost 4. Last week we were undefeated and played 6 games.

I've been playing volleyball since I was in the 7th grade and I LOVE IT:lovestruc !!!!!!!!!! I'm starting varsity for my senior year :banana: and I really hope to play all season this year ( broken thumb 2:( games in Sophomore year and a pulled ligament and broken finger :sad: Junior year). I never really played except for on the beach and everytime I play my wrist hurts like you know what and gets all red and swollen from bumping the ball in the air.
