Hilton Head weather question

Hi all,

Can anyone give me a general idea of what early May weather is typically like at Hilton Head? I don't expect specifics, but I really have no idea if it's good outside weather (not necessarily swimming in the ocean weather) yet that time of year? I'd like to go, but our WDW trips are always in the winter, so we haven't yet. Next trip will be in May for the Flower and Garden show at Epcot, and we're thinking of going up to Hilton Head for 3 or 4 nights.
