Thought I would ask here, since you all seem to be so crafty and imaginative.

I have to do an 80's themed centerpiece for a dinner next week and am stumped.
I was growing up in the 80's, so what I keep coming back to are things I am familiar with from that time---movies, music and toys!

I need some help..................
Any ideas would be appreciated.

hmmm....that has me stumped as well. Nothing like a challenge though! I keep thinking of rollerskates, Rubiks cubes, Brat pack movies, Michael Jackson, jelly shoes, Madonna, acid wash jeans, members only jackets, mullets...

But I have NO clue how to put them together as a centerpiece! I can't wait to see what you come up with though!!!

I thought maybe a Pretty In Pink or Cold War theme, but can't really think of much to do.
The excess of the 80's........

I really can't think of much other than finding all the nostalgic things from my childhood and throwing them together in a basket. Kind of "it came from the 80's"
Things like ET and his reeces pieces, now and later candies, a cd of 80's new wave music, jelly bracelets

Help! I need more creative ideas!!

I keep thinking of '80's movies...maybe tape 4 DVD boxes together to make a hollow cube, and put something sparkly in the middle like this...
