Hi-

We will be spending a day at Disney and then going on a DCL 7-day cruise. We need to rent an ECV for my Mom and have been contacting places with no luck. We need to have it delivered to WDW resort and then picked up at the Port. Most places are telling me that requires 2 separate rentals, or some huge fee they want to tack on ($150 to transport back to Orlando). We will have our van and will drive it to the Port but really dont want to drive all the way back to Orlando to return it before driving back to Ohio.

ANyhow, just wondered how others have handled this, or if you had a Land/Sea vacation with the same needs.

Thanks for any info!

Wouldn't you basically be going back through Orlando to get to the Turnpike and up I-75 to Ohio? Or were you planning to go up 95?

Personally, if you can't drop it off (the best option!), I'd price out renting at the port, and for your single day at the parks, try out the new ECV rental at the Boardwalk (I say that as I don't think the offsite places offer free delivery for a rental less that 3 days, and from what I've seen, they all charge extra for port pickup) or get there early and rent at the park if your mom can manage that OK.

You can also call DCL and ask to speak with special services, and see what they recommend. Tell them you will have an ECV onboard and ask for Carol.

Have a great trip!

Thanks - I think that new boardwalk ECV rental would be perfect, that would allow just the one day WDW rental and we wouldn't have to try and squeeze it into the van. I didn't know about that place - THANK YOU!
