Going next year in May, so far I

booked our hotel (POR) with ultimate tickets
got the passporter guide
signed up for tourguide Mike
made a list of place where we'd like eat
looked at prices for car hire and flights (but can't book flights yet)

What else can I do now until I've got more details on when best to visit which park, EMH are released, ...?

I want to keep myself busy with Disney planning stuff!!!

I was a bit like that before our October trip last year. I contented myself with reading trip reports, jotting down useful tips I came across, making a list of rides and attractions we hadn't done before or that we wanted to do again.

I also made a chuff chart which I hung on the kitchen wall :)

I agree with Joh, I enjoy reading the trip reports, and jotting down useful tips from other people

It's a military saying - it's like a countdown chart. The military use them when they are away on deployment, to count downt he days tillt hey get to go home.

I made one last year, starting from about April/May to take us through to October. It had various WDW pictures as background and we had one page for each month, with a whole bunch of squares, to represent the days. Then, every morning we would cross off each day - it was great seeing all those days crossed off - and even better when we finally got to the October page and the big 'DISNEY WORLD HERE WE COME' written on one of the squares :)

Ahhh, in that case I know exactly what it is and I have one aswell! Our friends kids made us one when they did thier own. It's on our kitchen door and I cross each day off when I go to bed. I've 31 days off so only 481 to go!

Have you booked directly with an airline or with a tour operator. Flights don't get officially released until 330 days before. We're planning on flying with Maxjet to New York and get a connecting flight to Orlando with JetBlue (they only open about 6 months in advance or so). Return would be again with Maxjet, but from Washington DC. We're planning on taking a road trip from Orlando to Washington DC and visit some friends along the way
