Went out during the start of a storm here in AZ. and got some shots. Captured my first lightning. Hand held and took them when I saw the first flash of lightening.

VERY nice - I am envious.
The past few times DH and I have been called out to spot the storms either fizzled before they got here or were so intense and came on so fast I wasn't able to get anything.
Great job.

Nice captures!! Great colors. I have yet to get lighting in/on the camera.
Those darn light and power poles seem to always spring up and get in the way don't they???:rotfl2:

nice shots, especially #1, i tried to look at your exif but it wouldn't come up, mind posting it?...i think handheld would be easier if i could do it with out blurring...we had our first thunderstorm with real lightening yesterday and the tripod was so limiting directionally imo....so instead i got big fat zero while the lightening hit everyplace my tripod was not aimed !:lmao:
