Can anyone tell me or point in the right direction. My wife and I have decided we want to do the half marathon but was wanting some info on earlier past participants. Like what time you have to get up in the morning. How long are you standing around before the race starts. Are ou standing outside or is their a facility where food or beverages are served?

Thanks a bunch:banana:

You can find lots of reports, tips, and photos on my website.

Good luck with the race.

This is assuming you mean the WDW 1/2:

I have done the Goofy the last 2 years. I believe the last bus leaves WDW hotels at 3:45. Disney wants everyone at the start by 4:00. The race starts in waves if like 07. The waves start at 6:00, 6:10, and 6:30 depending on your listed pace. Lots of standing/sitting around. They do have some food for sell at the start. Not sure what as I eat before leaving hotel.

Welcome aboard:yay:

I usually get up around 3, but to start and there is a lot of standing around before the 6 am start. LAst year, you could by tix to a VIP tent with food and heat. I've heard that you can also stay at POFQ adn wwakl to the start for minimal standing around.

FYI, The VIP cost an additional $50 per runner and sold out in about 1 day. So if you want to shell out the extra bucks, better go online and register immediately after you get the email from Disney. I heard mixed reviews. Some people complained how long it took to get the massages.

IMHO, after dropping $225 for the Goofy, another $100 for the VIP tent is not an option for me. Rather save the $100 for fun at the parks.
