Don't worry I didn't know either. Apparently it's pronounce DIZ like Fizz. I always just said the letters D I S, ya know since they're capitalized (DISboards). I thought it was an acronym to something like Disney Information Site or something. :rotfl: I felt :goofy: when I found out you actually say the letters a certain say.

If you say "dizz-nee", then the DISboards is pronounced "dizz-boards."

If you say "diss-nee" (never heard that one before!), then the DISboards is pronounced "diss-boards."

I guess I just don't get how you wouldn't think to associate DISboards with DISney ....:confused3

I always associated DIS with Disney, but when Dis stands alone the proper pronunciation according to the English language would differ from the sound it makes in the name Disney.:teacher: So I didn't know which way it would be pronounced. I think "DIS" is an acronym for Disney Information Station--how would you say that? I would say that it's possible that when that acronym was coined, the term "diss" as in "dis-respecting" something was not prevalent. To me, it always seemed like the "dizz" as in Disney.:earsboy:
