room ideas???

i realllyyyyy need some help...im redecorating my room over the summer and have no idea what colors or theme to use.
normally i cud come up with sometihng...but the problem is the hideous carpet in my room....its an ugly purple-ish marroon that is absolutely impossible to match...any ideas???:confused3

limited budget, love the hardwood idea...but im not sure as far as $$
i redecorated a couple years ago, and my mom is paying for a new comforter, paint, and curtains...im paying for the rest
im open to any colors and any themes

The last time I was at IKEA, they had a really cool room in the Teens area.

It was like, Moroccan themed. Dark reds, blues, greens, etc. Sounds like it would somewhat match your carpet.

Then they had pillows everywhere, and curtains. And lots of rugs, which would cover up your carpet, too.

It sounds really weird, but it's hard to describe. It looked awesome though. I'll try to find a picture.
