I thought I had a good deal, but now I'm seeing rates of $29 a night in Orlando, so I'm wondering....

Anyway, I have the Universal Fairfield Marriott booked for 3 nights (March 28-31), for 2 adults, DD-4, DS-2 for $191. However this includes one free meal at Hard Rock, NBA, or Nascar. I booked this at the advice of my neighbors who did this package and said there were no restrictions on the meal. They all ordered the most expensive meal at HR. So, provided DH and I eat steaks at Hard Rock...is this a good deal? It includes continental breakfast and free transportation to the park, so we won't have to pay for parking.

Welcome to the boards Mick37!
While that is a decent deal, be sure and keep checking these boards for updated specials.
You'll find many different options to consider from a lot of different posters here. For example: I'd think about at least 1 nite at on-site (HRH or PBH, so you can get the unlimited Express lines for 2 days!), and couple nites at a nearby "budget" hotel. NOTE: Best to stay on-site AFTER staying off-site!
You may get 1 nite on-site for as little as $129!
Stay tuned!
Jim

Thanks :)

The only problem is I've already booked this package, and Universal makes it very inconvenient for you to change or cancel your reservations. If I cancel it, I'll lose at least half of that $191.

Also, why didn't my pink bouncing froggy things work? LOL. All I did was click on them!

Those pinkbounces have NEVER worked! The first two characters in the shortcut are the same as in another smilie so it cancels it out!
