fantasmic package

Okay, I have read alot about these ADRs with the fantasmic package....now can someone tell me what that is exactly-LOL? How does it work? Is it something you pay extra for?? If so Is it worth the money. Sorry I am new to This and just trying to make sure I have a plan..a GOOD plan, sounds like fantasmic package is a good plan :) THANK YOU:)

I like the package for the Hollywood Brown Derby. The meal includes appetizer, main course , dessert ,also a drink (not of the alcohol kind)
You will receive tickets to the fantasmic show, the line and wait is not that long.
Or... just go to the line for the Fantasmic Show a little early and you will get a seat without the meal package. Either way is good! :yay:

The package is great for busy times of the year. It's a guarantee seat, not a better seat, up until 30 minutes before the show.

You agree to eat at either H&V, MM and Brown Derby and they will then give you a voucher to enter the special package entrance up to 30 minutes before (after that, it's no longer guaranteed). They will tell you to go to the special entrance by 45 minutes before the show.

Off season, like end of August, Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec, I don't feel the package is necessary. I have done it twice now without the package (and many many times with it) and had wonderful seats right in the center at 1 hour before the show (package seats are to the far right). Then I can eat anywhere I want to.

Okay so I do not need special tickets for fantasmic if Im NOT doing the fantasmic package? Is it like wishes, where you just find a place to sit and you can watch it for free? Or is it like a MNSSHP, where you do need special tickets? Sorry we have been to disney twice but never seen fantasmic and DH has always wanted to so I just want to make sure we can see it this time. Thank you all for all the info:)

It's a free show for anyone in the park to enjoy. It's first come first served regarding the seats.

Some prefer the package to be guaranteed a seat however you don't always need the package in the off season.

Does anyone know, does it really matter where in the theater you sit? Is it worth getting in line very early during a potentially more crowded time (May?)

I thought waiting for Fantasmic was a great way to wind down the evening, talk to my group and enjoy the people around me. Unlike wishes, you are sitting (or standing) and not completely smooshed next to the person standing next to you. There are mostly great seats.

I personally would not do the Fantasmic dinner package, I think it's partially a waste (unless you really want to eat there anyway) because you ultimately save 15-30 minutes in the long run (or less!) Is that worth a whole TS credit or eating at a restaurant that you wouldn't otherwise choose?

The best seating I feel is right in the center, and that's the section that they fill first with folks NOT on the Fantasmic Dining Package. The folks on the package sit far right... great for a quicker exit but not the best for viewing.
