We are thinking we'd like to go to the campfire when we are at WDW this fall. It will be during daylight savings time, so should we assume it will start at 8pm? How crowded do the campfires get? Do we need to get there early, or can we show up close to 8 and still get a spot?
We were thinking we might try to have dinner at WCC at the WL, than take the boat to FW for the campfire. What is the best way to get to the campfire from the boat dock?
Thanks for your help!

Yes, it does get crowded. If you get there a few minutes before 8:00, you probably won't get a spot on the benches, but there will be plenty of space on the bleachers.
From the boat dock, you can hop on an internal bus to get there. But, I would just walk. It's about a 12-15 minute walk, taking your time. :)

Before you head to WDW, call FW and get the times so you know for sure when things start. The sing-a-long and Chip n Dale's arrival all happens before the movie. If you want the full experience, make sure you arrive early enough to catch everything!

Thanks! I definitely will check the start times- we want to enjoy the campfire. DD is looking forward to it. We will try to get there early so we have a spot on the benches.
Sounds like it will be really fun!!

From WL the easiest way to get the campfire show is to get on the FW bus at WL, this bus becomes a FW orange bus when it gets back in and will take you to the campfire show. Just tell the driver when you get on and they will let you know which stop for the show.
