If I arrive on 8/25, can I pick up thr DDP for the rest of my vacation, 8/27 to 8/31?

You would have to make 2 separate reservations -- room only from 8/25 - 8/26 and then a package, with free DDP and at least a 1 day ticket for everyone in your party from 8/26 on.

We arrive the 25th too! We booked a single night in a standard room at the Movies for the 25th and don't even plan on unpacking, just sleeping after all day of flying.

On the 26th we will check out and check in to our preferred room at the Movies we may change our ressie to a standard room for the entire stay if one has opened up as we may be able to stay in the same room according to the CM I spoke with.

We also arrive on the 25th at approx 1pm. We have room only for that day and will spend the day at the pool or Downtown Disney, paying OOP for our meals.

From 26th - 3rd we have free DDP for the remainder of the trip.

Hoping the weather cooperates.....somewhat nervous about hurricane season and the anticipated heat and humidity....being from Eastern Canada, we're not used to hot weather for extended periods of time

from what i have read IF your vacation falls anywhere during the free dining promotion either before or after you can get the promotion for your entire stay.

That's only partly right.
If you check in to a Disney resort prior to 8/26/07*, you can only get the Free DDP if you make one reservation checking in on your arrival date and out on 8/26, and a second reservation beginning on 8/26. You can't get the promotion before it starts.
However, as long as you check in on or before 9/22/07, you can book the free dining promotion as part of your package for your entire stay or ten nights (whichever is shorter).

*Select groups were able to book a version of this promotion for dates outside the ones available to the general public.
