Ok Y'all... My DSiL and I are joining WW together but we are trying to decide which plan would be better, Flex or Core?

Which have you all tried with the most ease and success?

Also, have you seen many SAHMs that bring a little one with them to the meetings? I might have to take DD with me for this month, she doesn't start preschool until June. Would it be ok to take her?

Thanks in advance!!!!

I personally prefer Flex but you can switch back & forth if you need to.. you just need to commit to a full week once you decide. Personally I like to eat whatever I want, so Flex is better for me...

You can bring your kids, our meeting has kids rules listed (must keep quiet, ok to bring a quiet toy, stay in your seat etc..) The meeting is only 30 minutes & they are SO worth staying! Good luck!

I have brought my kids when I have to, and so do many other moms at my group. It does go pretty fast, I bring crayons and paper for them.

I like to stay for the meetings, you get some really good hints there. Also, you feel like you are not alone. Other members have the same ups and downs that you do.

I do flex. I like to count the points and plan my days. It keeps my more focused.

If you have portion control trouble like me, the Flex plan might be better. I like that it makes me concious of how much I'm eating. The Core plan's premise is having as much as you want from the core foods list, but eating only until you feel (their word) "satisfied". I don't know your situation, but if I could stop when satisfied, I wouldn't be 80 lbs overweight right now. :rotfl: Plus, since I'm used to overeating, it would take more food to satisfy me than a normal-weight person.

Some prefer Core because they don't have to count points, but counting points is SOOOO simple with the e-Tools; I find it easier than looking stuff up in the book, and it's SIMPLE to figure points for things not in the book, plus you can save them as a "favorite" for later. I've done WW before, and I'd misplace my journal, or leave it home and need it at work. I can log onto e-Tools anywhere.

There was a mom with a little boy about 5 at our meeting yesterday. He played with his toys, and got a little squirmy, but at the end, the leader let him collect everyone's name tags for a drawing, and he drew the winner. He was tickled to death.

Good luck with whichever plan you choose !!!:wizard:
