Does your school give you the chance to go somewhere foreign/far away?

My middle school does, they give us the chance to go to Norway, London and France.

In 2009 my band in going to London. The band trips are in the US, but we got invited to march in a parade there so yeah. :p

But my old public school would never send us off to a foreign country.

My highschool's German teacher always took a group of students to Germany and Austria over spring break every year, but I never went.

But mostly every college has a Study Abroad program where you can spend a semester, summer, or full-year abroad practically anywhere you want to go.

I'm going to be going to Perugia, Italy for the Fall '08 semester. I can not wait, it's going to be amazing. :)

We normally go to U.S places, like eigth grade goes to N.Y.C every year, but the high school goes to places like Italy, Germany, Paris, etc. All over.

and spanish- i think its mexico.

yes! a bunch of that is offered! i'm in marching band and last year we go to go to the Bahamas! and this year we went to New York! but a lot of clubs in my school attend conventions everywhere! French club is going to France! wanted to go but too much for me! so it sucks i won't get to use my french i have learned. but there is a lot!

No.But my old world cultures and peer counseling teacher took kids from our school to Italy.Next year he's taking kid's somewhere else.

He doesn't do it through the school though.

jah, personally I went to Germany. I lived in a town called Lampertheim. But its an actual exchange, not hey lets go tour for a week or two.

Even though Iturned them down I had a chance to go to two other places in the world. I cannot remember what places they were but I think one was Barcelona. I had the chance to go with a bunch of other kids bacause I was one of the 30 or so smartest kids in the nation.

i use to get those all the time! i got stuff from this organization called people to people, and they said i was one of the smartest people who got invited but they had a meeting and there were alot of people there! they weren't all smart. they just look for people who might have money. i'm not saying your dumb at all becasue i think you' re smart it's just sometimes they just sent it to you just because they want money. i got invited to go to Australia. It cost like $7000 :scared1: to go. so i said no! if they really wanted smart people to go they would pay every single cent of each person going because they're the one that invited us right?

Yeah, I got invited to do People to People too. It was the England/France trip... I really wanted to go, but we didn't have the money at the time. But now it's ok cause I'm going to France next year and London the year after that. :p

We used to offer trips to France and Spain, but an incident changed that for us. Some girls went to France with their French class and got tattoos. Then their parents had a fit when they saw it and the school got into trouble. So they cancelled all future trips to foreign countries. That would be a lot of fun, I'd love to go to France with my French class.

Well the 1st time we went I was only like 1 or so. My dad had to get a motocross bike.(which I love motocross!!)

Then my dad had to get a street bike.

My school offers alot of trips actually it's really cool.


I got to go to PARIS 2 years ago.

It was the most amazing time of my life, it was FANTASTIC!!!!!
I seriously reccomend going on any school trips like that that you can because you will have the TIME OF YOUR LIFE!!!!


My school is going to Costa Rica this summer, I was going to go, but being a senior I had way too much other stuff to pay for!!

Our band is going to Vancouver in a couple of weeks.

And I hear that one of the classes in my school is planning a trip to Uganda for next year.
I WISH that they had planned that for last year because I would LOOOOOOOOVE to go on a trip like that, I think it would be life-changing.


My sister's school goes on alot of trips too, they had an Italy trip this year at march break.

And my sister just got back from NYC a couple weeks ago.
She gets to go to England next year.

The tour company that I went to france with called me and offered me a chance to study in France for a semester because I had really good marks in french and won a couple of awards, but unfortunatley I'm going to Uni next year so I couldn't take it :(

It would be great though.


I grade 7/8 I went to Motnreal & Quebec city, but that's no biggie, since I used to live there

ANd my sister also went to NYC in grade 8 too.

In my middle school the farthest we go is 45 minutes away to Six Flags. In my high school during your senior year you can go to Disney. Nothing out of the country though.

and there was a football (soccer) trip to Madrid but some idiot boys set bins on fire so they dont take us abroad anymore.

German Club: Germany.
AP European History: Scotland.

Other places are Switzerland, Mexico, and maybe some others that I don't know about.

yes we get to go to itally. al least the seniors did. but you have to be picked, you have to have good grades and be a good student.

Yep, you can go to Czech Republic, but you have to write a huge long thing as to why you want to go.
