Has anyone recently travelled with BA on Boeing 777. Can only affford economy class and DH is 6ft 6 and anxious re leg room. To make matters worse we are travelling with DS who is only 5 yrs old so unable to sit in more spacious emergency exit rows. Any suggestions from veteran travellers?

I am only 6ft 1in, but I know where he is coming from.
Did I not read that BA do not now allow you to pre book seats until 24 hours before the flight?
All I could suggest is an aisle seat and at the back, so that he does not have to keep pulling his legs in?
the only other option is for him to sit in the emergency exit seats and for you and your little 'un to sit behind/in front of him?

http://seatexpert.com/_BA777_3_class_NCW.html gives SOME information about seats on the plane.
As Obi said, use online check-in (http://www.britishairways.com/travel/managebooking/public/en_gb?eId=104509) to grab seats 24 hours before flying. I don't know whether certain seats (exit seats or bulkhead seats) are "held back" for allocation at the airport?
Have a great trip :)

When you check in at the desk you could ask for an upgrade. There's no harm in asking....I know a few people that have asked and got a free upgrade.
We travelled once in first class from Orlando to Miami only 40mins. But was nice and we didn't have to pay extra.

I think if you are travelling with a child, you get to online check-in 3 days before your flight, so you do have a little bit of an advantage.
