Second day free?

I read once on these boards that you could get your ticket validated for a second day free of charge before you leave the park. We were thinking of getting the combination SeaWorld/Busch Gardens Pass for one day at each park. Would you be able to still get the second day free at SeaWorld? We are going the first week in Dec. 2002 (is the special still valid at that time?).

You can get second day free with any valid Sea World ticket. 2nd day free has been running for years without a sign of ending. I would say it will be around when you visit, most likely.

Is is possible to buy a one day Sea World ticket now to use in July 2002 and get 2nd day free or does it have to be a combination ticket?

2nd day free needs to be redeemed at the park. You turn in your ticket and get a 2nd day free ticket with a pixelated photo of you (but you can tell that it is you). That ticket needs to be redeemed within 7 days of your first visit. So you can buy tickets ahead of time, but 2nd day free ticket won't be available until you visit the park.
