Is this a good loop? We looked at map & it looks close to the pool, campfire, etc. We are boarding our dog. We don't won't to leave him all day alone in the camper & he'll be in good hands. This will be my 1st trip to FW. Dh has been years ago when he was a kid. We have a 33 ft. 5th wheel w/slide. I told them this when we made reservations.

I've never stayed there because I always stay in a partial loop, but have some friends that swear by the 1300 Loop as being their favorite.

We loved 1300! We were at site 1321, and we backed onto the canal. Our site was on the end of the loop closest to the outpost/bridge, so it was a very easy walk (1 min) from the back of our site, along the canal to the trading post. Being at the edge of the loop meant that we had direct access to the back route, and it was nice that no-one ever cut through our site to get down the same way. It was perfect to walk to campfire and the pool too, just across the bridge. My only caution would be that if you are there in hot weather you might have a bit of pool noise. We looked out right over to the playground and beside it, to the pool. It was a great view when we were there in Feb, and the pool was pretty quiet and any late swimmers weren't noisy. However, if you are the type to go to bed early, you might hear a bit of pool noise in the summer. Even though there is a bus stop (and play area beside it) at the entrance to the loop, we didn't notice much traffic noise as we were well away from the main road. We found this to be a very convenient location and would request it again next time we head to FW.

I was wondering, what is a partial loop?

We stayed in the 1300 loop in 96 and backed onto the canal and loved it. We were close to the meadows store, campfire, the bus stop was at the end of the loop too. The comfort station then was one of the nicer ones too and spotless.

We have stayed in the 1300 loop many times and like it alot. Just got back from staying next door in the 1200 loop and that loop is nice also except more sites back-up to the roads.

If you were to stay in the 1600 loop you could have your dog with you when you're back home and take him for really nice walks next to the water. You could keep him with you during the night and board him when you go to the parks.

The walk to the pool is not really that much farther, maybe 3 minutes more.

I was wondering, what is a partial loop?

Having water and electric hook-ups only, no sewer. Really meant for tents and pop-ups. At FW, they are loops 1500 and 2000.

We stayed in the 1300 loop in December 2005 and loved it. We were right across from the comfort station which made it really easy to do laundry. Since we were there 15 nights, there was a lot of laundry. :) I could sit outside under our awing and relax and stroll over to check on the clothes. A short walk to the Meadow area. Really a nice loop. Now that we are DVC members and stay on points, we stay in the preferred loops, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay in 1300 again.

We did the 1300 loop in '05 with our 36' 5er. We had a site that backed up to the canal, too, 1316?. I did have a little trouble backing in and it was a little narrow ( three slides and a big awning ). This year we were in the 500 loop with a great site for our 39' motorhome.
