Split Stay & DDP?

I am planning a family Thanksgiving at WDW. My Mother has always wanted to stay at the Swan, but we want to save money with the DDP, which the does not participate with the Swan. Is it possible to do a split stay at one of the other resorts and transfer to the Swan but keep the DDP? Has anyone had any success doing this?

The Swan doesn't participate in the DDP, you would need to be staying at a WDW hotel to have it for each night you want it.

If you get a good deal at the Swan, it may offset whatever savings you may get with the DDP.
