We won family of the week at the Beach Club last week!
We arrived at the Beach Club mid-afternoon for check-in. No sooner were we in the door when a Cast Member, Teena, greeted us and asked my daughter if she was Christina, then she named each of my sons. We looked at each other not understanding how she knew who we were. When I asked about this, Teena said that Mickey had informed her we were coming and had a surprise for us and we could not check in yet. Teena asked us to wait at the middle couch in the lobby for Mickey. We were shocked and did not know what to expect. My kids thought I must know what was up, but I did not. A few minutes later, many of the Beach Club managers came out with balloons and and a certificate announcing that we were the family of the week! We were very excited about this. After meeting everyone and having our picture taken with the Beach Club staff we were escorted to the concierge desk where we were promptly checked in. I was so surprised by all this that my husband had to do the check-in. After we checked in, Teena escorted us to our room. We had booked a standard room, but were brought instead to a 5th floor concierge room that had a full balcony and a beautiful view of SAB, Crescent Lake and the Boardwalk across the lake. WOW!!! We also received “family of the week” pins. Teena told us everything we needed to know about the concierge service and our room. She had even arranged to have extra towels, robes, toiletries and towel animals for us. Teena is great!!!!! We enjoyed the wonderful concierge service and snacks all week and even got last minute reservations to Le Cellier. Toward the end of our stay, we returned to our room to find more balloons, a picture of us with the staff and more pins. All in all it was a lovely surprise and made our visit unforgettable.
