Glendamax-Congrats on the 4 pounds! Awesome!:woohoo:
Ok, so this morning I got on the scale and it sucked... I'm up two pounds? What? In three days it went up two pounds? And I'm being really good and doing some exercising (with my two kids, that's the hardest part for me...finding time to exercise). Bleck!:confused3 :sad2:

I TOTALLY BLEW THE LOW CARB THING THIS WEEKEND.... I just *needed* the time off plan. I was only going to take one meal off and have a blooming onion from Bugaboo Creek, (friday night out) because "after all... take a look at that thing, there isn't hardly any breading on it!!!!"
Then, I went and had a cheeseburger melt and fries for lunch with friends, *heck, I need some carbs to jumpstart my system right?;)*
Then we did Outback.... chicken sandwich, and bloomin onion... alright, that one was full of breading.....
Then I went to a graduation party, and all the foods were pasta driven... chix ziti broccoli, lazagna, veggie lazanga (sp),
Then DH brought me home a huge roast beef from Kelly's with mayo, and onion rings and fries....
SO, after typing all of that out in a myspace message to CAT, I was so GUILTY!!!!! I can't believe that this is the way I ate EVERYDAY before starting on with you guys......
SO............I am going back on LOW CARB today. The scale shows a three pound gain... but I am not going to change my ticker or anything until Friday weigh in. Hopefully I can get it off by then.... maybe it is all the salt in the fried food! ;) :rolleyes1
Great Job to all who are sticking to their program of choice! So, Lori, do you want me to stop PM'ming you the weigh ins???? :confused3

Good late evening girls ! I went away to do a wedding this weekend and hurt my back something awful so I am pulling out of the exercise challenge this month. I will do what I can but i won't make it to my goal of 700 minutes. Last week i only walked one day. DH was in Mississippi for training and I just couldn't find time without him to give me a short break. I had good intentions of walking but I was either too lazy or our weather wasn't cooperating.
I have only had like 2-3 people PMing thier weigh in's so I think it's safe to say we are just going to be using this thread for support ! I think it's a great thread though !!
Last week with Dh gone I did good with my eating but hopefully this week will be even better since last week there was a little bit of cheating involved !
Oh no!! That's what kept me honest!! Knowing that I had to actually tell someone what I weighed because one day I'd have to prove it!!

Hi guys...I'm baaaack! So after my hiatus and week of graduation parties which left the scale showing a SIX POUND GAIN, I've refound my motivation.
I just wasn't motivated for the longest time, and I wasn't gaining any weight, so I was okay...but when I looked at the scale yesterday and it said 160.2 and it had said 152.8, i knew I was in trouble! So I went back on plan today! I did lick the spoon after I dished out ice cream.

Nanu- it happens. I'm glad you've refound your motivation though!
Me- I did my 100 minutes today. I think I mentioned Hubby is out of town so I can eat a little less and get more time in exercising. It's odd- he doesn't interfere, at all, when it comes to what I eat or how I workout, but when he's home- I tend to eat a little more and workout a little less ;)
Hope everyone had a good Monday

I missed all of you!
Last Monday night we got a call to take 2 sisters into foster care. So now we have a 8month old, a 2y3m, 1y8m, and a 5y7m. Two are my kids, the youngest 3 are girls in diapers.
I'm sooo physically exhausted at the end of the night. I'm binging during the day on anything i can get my hands on just to keep my energy up. I actually put on 2 pounds last week and was up to 172 but then I weighed myself this morning and I'm down to 170... which is 2 pounds lighter than when they came. YAY.
I haven't made it to the gym yet. That's next weeks' goal...try to work THAT into our new routine. Thank goodness they have childcare that will even take the infant. I'm so ready to have a break. I've got it all mapped out... I'll take all the girls with me in the evening after they eat an early dinner, and my son can have alone time with his dad. We'll see how well this plan works out. I really want to get back into losing weight mode... but my mind is a little occupied now!

crazy4dizny; sounds like your gonna be really busy 4 a while. We to do Foster care(love it!) and We also have 2 boys of our own and we are licensed for 2 foster kids., However when we get a full house like that things get CRAZY around here. Like yesterday I had to take 4 kids to the doctor just so my oldest could be seen-That is never fun. Dragging around 4 kids by myself gets overwhelming sometimes. Let me know if you need anything okay.:thumbsup2
Well I had not stepped on a scale in about 3 weeks, since getting of my appitite suppresents and,...well, I got brave this morning and to my suprise I was up only 1/2 pound. Thats such good news for me because I have been sooo off track the past 3 week, I mean eating out, ding dongs, DQ every week, cookouts, cokes, you get the picture. SO I was sure I had ganied back the 10 pounds I lost-NOPE, not yet anyway. Im sure if i dont change my eating habits I will though. SO I am going to get back on track, I will keep you all posted. I have a mission. STILL gotta loose 40 pounds before Disney!
What happened on this thread-I know I gave up for a while but I didnt think everone else did;) WHERES EVERYONE AT?
Good luck, talk to you soon!

Well yesterday I obviously couldn't count because I was actually UP EIGHT POUNDS!!! I was happy to step on the scale today and see that one day of eating healthy and drinking tons of water helped me lose 3 of those water weight pounds. I'm hoping to be down to 164 (still up 2 pounds) by Friday. Then maybe the next week I'll be down to where I was supposed to be. I really want to start exercising though. I wish I was motivated to go walking in the AM, but I leave at 7:45 and I'm too tired. Then in the evening I'm too tired. Plus I find walking boring. I wish I had an eliptical machine or something. Maybe some walkaerobics videos or something.

Everyone is doing great- just by sticking together, we will do this!!!
Me- I did my 100 minutes last night and am procrastinating starting on my minutes this morning :rotfl2:
I'll get there- think I'm going to have my coffee first. I'll work out during Regis and Kelly- never watched so much DAYTIME television in my life! Now I watch at least 100 minutes of it a day ;) ;) ;)
But I have my goal and less then 30 days to reach it now- 10 pounds OFF by July 11th!
Nanu57v
06-12-2007, 03:00 PM
THat's awesome you can do 100 minutes of exercise a day. I do like two. That's my next goal.
So far I'm still on plan today, but I remembered we have a staff meeting tonite...potluck. It will be my downfall! But I'll get back up tomorrow.

06-13-2007, 02:39 PM
Okay, gals- let's rally.
We're down to less then 100 days for most of us, right? So 100 days- that's a challenge to eat right and workout- 100 days, that's NOTHING!
Let's do this, ladies!

I did so good last week - I am not sure why this week has been such a struggle for me. I have been battling these same 4 pounds since a few months ago - Ugh !!
My back needs to start feeling better so I can go back to the elliptical. I always felt so much better after I would get my exercise in !
DisneyAprilFool
06-13-2007, 08:06 PM
**HUGS** It can be horribly hard to break a plateau. I've noticed I always hit one when I'm close to the next 10 digits (190s, 180s)- and it can be sooo frustrating!!!
My suggestion would be to really look at what you're eating this week and try to cut out high sodium as well- then really press on with some exercise. Can you swim? Perhaps swimming in a pool would be a good workout that wouldn't hurt your back?
I finally made my halfway point for my exercise goal for this month-whew. For a moment there, I didn't I was going to finish this month, but now I see I have plenty of time.

Hi everyone.
I just want to thank you all once again for being here to listen, and lend support. I think I have been doing good. I have been skipping breakfat though. Which for me is not good. As, I bcome ravenous, around lunch time. I need to do better. I was so going to do some excercise. But, have not commited to it yet. But, after the challenge. I just read about. Tomorrow. I promise to get my booty up and excercise. I mean I know in my logical mind. That is the only way to really be effective in my quest to be able to snap my seatbelt on SW. :lmao: . So, after my shower, after my excercising effort. I will come to post again. So, again. I just want to say thank you all, for being here.:grouphug: Thanks everybody!!

Hello! I just wanted to report that I AM trying to get in shape! Here's what I posted on the "Officially Official" Thread, about my day today . . .
Sorry I missed Top Chef! I thought it was an episode from last season!
But let me tell you what I did today Ladies: I went to a water aerobics class with 99% Senior Citizens (for an HOUR!). I am WORN OUT!!!!!! My arms were so tired that I didnt want to drive home. Then while I'm there, I over hear the youngest person there - I think she might have been 40ish (the oldest lady there was 81, and just had knee surgery!) - on Monday starts adult swim lessons, AFTER water aerobics! Oh Lord HELP ME!!!!!! I'd really like to do both - since I dont know how to swim, AND need to get into shape - but those old women are GOING TO KILL ME!!!!!!! If I could've called out of work, I would've!!!!!!
FIVE minutes into the class, doing a bunch of arm lifts, my shoulders were BURNING!!!!!! I told the lady who invited me that I was tired! She laughed . . . then really looked at me . . . looked serious and said "it'll get better". Then after the class, her and her sister (they go to my church) tells me "you'll probably be sore tomorrow". I said "TOMORROW???!!!, try right now!!!!!"
And what was sooooo embarassing, was when we had to do leg lifts, or squats, I felt like I was going to TILT OVER AND DROWN!!!! One time I almost slipped! And NO, no one else was off balance - just me, the one who is young enough to call most of these women GRANDMA!!!!
So for all of you stay at home Moms, 2nd and 3rd Shift workers out there who need to get in shape, hang with the older folks in the afternoon. They'll have you in shape in NO time!!!!
OH!!!! And yes, I was the WORSE in the whole class! YES! Even worse than the 81 yr old who just had knee surgery!
Where's the Ben Gay when you need it?!!!!!

Good morning ladies! Next week is a fresh start 4 me, Iv been putting off eating healthy 4 like 3 weeks so come Monday I am going to b back on track! Oh and start drinking water again! First I have to ween myself off pop AGAIN:rotfl:
Hope you all are having a wonderful day!

Glenda- your post just had me chuckling! Stick with it, girly- you'll get better! I'd LOVE to do water aerobics (I have no coordination- but it sounds fun- and being in the water here is the only way I'll exercise outside since we're seeing over 100 degrees almost every day!)- but Hubby works a crazy schedule and I can't see investing money in a class if I don't know if I can go or not :( But YOU GO AND KICK BUTT! How do you feel today?
Heath-and-Javen's Mom- that's right! Get back on track! Everyone loses the track, hell, I've lost all sight of it from time to time in the last month or two- but as long as you get back to it, you'll see progress, even if it's just a little!
Okay, so I feel like I'm bragging all of the time- please don't think of me as a braggart :S It's just taken me a looong time to actually get my butt in gear and actually DO something about my weight- so I'm really excited about it. But today- today, I can feel my hip bones!!! Of course, I have to press down and there are still layers upon layers of fat on them- but they are there! They exist! I just did my weekly taping and since we started- I've lost EIGHT INCHES from my stomach/hips area. That's crazy, huh?
Tomorrow's weigh-in, gals, whether or not we're PMing our weights anymore. Remember- we are each doing this for OURSELVES and yet each day, we are helping one another- telling about our downfalls as well as our triumphs. Don't get discouraged- if you haven't lost ONE pound right now- if you dug in deep, you COULD lose 22 pounds before the 1st of September! Now, I don't know about you- but I know 22 pounds would feel a lot different for ME! There's still plenty of time to kick butt!
Lots of love and encouragement sent EVERYONE's way!

Glenda -
I love water aerobics. My class is mostly ladies in their 30's and 40's. I love it ! I haven't been in a few weeks but really need to get motivated to get back to exercising again. I was doing so well there for a little while.
Tonight I need to take a long walk ! That is my goal for this evening.

LOL- you didn't kill the thread, although I did kill my eating habits today because my Shih Tzu puppy died this afternoon and I decided that I must eat CRAP in order to feel better.
Huh. Now, I wonder why THAT didn't work? Sigh. Anyways, the little fella somehow managed to tangle his chain up, I guess, and the kids put him outside without untangling the chain- so he choked himself to death. I was so mad, at first, but now I am just incredibly sad. I never keep dogs on chains, but he was getting through my fence which leads to the street on both sides, so I thought it would be safer to chain him outside. Stupid me. He was only out for about 10-15 minutes at that :(
Sigh again.
There, now I've officially killed the thread.

Pru - You are having a very rough weekend! I hope it gets better. So sorry about the puppy! Take care of yourself!
I am back from my vacation and I think I managed to go back and read up on all that I missed. I'm sad that we aren't PMing our weight anymore :guilty: I didn't for the last two weeks but that was due to my vacation. I was really looking forward to getting back on track and having that accountability. I am GOING to get back on track though!! I will just have to post my weigh ins directly on the thread :scared1:
We had a very nice vacation and relaxed a lot. We went to the beach alot too which was good exercise. I ate VERY badly though!! :sad2: We ate out almost everyday and then snacked badly also. It is over though. Tomorrow I am going to the grocery store and stocking up on HEALTHY foods!! I will make a major effort to cook healthy dishes and eat more fruits and veggies daily!! I also must get back to my exercising!! I have been very lax lately. We are less than 100 days away so I better get a MOVE on it!!!
K, I said it now you guys have to hold me to it!
Lets kick it back into gear ladies! :cool1: :cool1: We can do this!! :cheer2: We all stray sometimes, but we can get back on track!!
Should we do little weekly challenges? Something like how many days or minutes we will exercise this week... or how many fruit/veggies servings we will get per day for the week... or water intake challenge? There was a monthly one last year that did a new challenge each month. I did some of them and it was really helpful. What do you guys think?
We all have somewhere in the neighborhood of 14 weeks left before our trip! We can do this!! Think about it.. even a pound a week would be a nice 14 pounds GONE! That would mean loose pants at least! And room for stuffing our faces when we get there :thumbsup2
Have a Great weekend everyone!!

Ok, I searched back for some ideas from the past challenges I was talking about. They did them for a month at a time, so some of the ideas won't work as well, but I think they are all good. I'm gonna list them w/ a basic description. Let me know if you guys are interested. We could start on Monday and go Monday-Sunday. Would that work?
Here are the ideas:
1)Kitchen is Closed - not eating after a certain time
2)Operation Hydration - x ounces of water daily
3)Brown Bag it - taking a healthy lunch to work- or eating a healthy lunch at home :thumbsup2
4)Color your Diet - X number of servings of fruits &/or Veggies a day
5)Recipe Swap - trying a new low calorie recipe X times this week & then share w/ the rest of us.... this could be an ongoing one and might be fun!
6)Portion Control - using a small salad plate for meals, or whatever method for controling portions you want to use
7)no mindless eating (eating at the desk, vegging out in front of the TV with a bag of Miniatures or chips...)
8)adding a little exercise...example: when commercials come on TV, do 20 jumping jacks and 5 push ups
9)Journaling - journaling diet and exercise Daily
10)trying a new type of exercise this week or several
Some have "titles" and other's didn't... If you want to come up w/ titles we can. We don't have to use all or any of those. They are just suggestions to get us started.
What do you guys think? If you want to do it, then say what your top choice is to start w/ and we will move forward w/ the top pick and then choose a new one each week.
I like these type challenges, cause sometimes we try to focus on too many things at one time and get overwhelmed. It can be helpful to take it one piece at a time to focus on till you get the hang of it.

Since not many people have posted, I'm not sure if there is much interest in the challenge or not yet.
We can discuss it over the week and start it on Friday if you guys want to do it. Then it will line up w/ our weigh in day. It will give us some time to discuss it further too.
I've done really well today! :cool1: I had a good first day back at work since vacation.
Food wise - I had Kashi cereal for breakfast. I packed a really healthy, low cal lunch. Then I came home and had a yummy veggie loaded spaghetti w/ whole wheat pasta. My total calories for today are 1018! I usually struggle to get under 1200, but no problem today and I don't feel hungry! :woohoo:
Dh & I also walked for 2 miles tonight!
How's everybody else doing? Cmon' guys!! I know you can do it!! :cheer2:

Hi everyone,
I feel like I have been MIA for awhile now...sorry! So much to catch up on.....
We left for Alaska about 1 1/2 weeks ago. We drove from Oregon through British Columbia, Yukon & then to Alaska. Just got my internet hooked up today. I felt so lost without internet. It is so slow though, it is driving me crazy... I guess that is what I get for living in Rural Alaska. I'm going to be here for the summer, basically until we head to FL for the WDW trip. I got the job with the college that I applied for, it starts the end of September, but I'll be starting about 2 weeks later because of the trip.
In the process of driving up here for the summer & keeping super busy I have managed to lose 14 pounds! I'm so excited!!
Anyway, I'll try to take time tomorrow to read through everything & respond. I just wanted to quickly say hi & let you all know I've missed you.
Talk to you soon :)

Today was my first swim lesson. It was a bit tough and scary, but I will go back. My first instinct was to drop it, but I'll go back . . .
Now I really have to make better food choices, and drink more water. Hopefully I can keep this up all summer - well, that is until I go to WDW in Sept! HA!

I am doing better this week. Eating better and drinking less pop, I am weening my self of mt. dew this week, hopefully next week I will be on water only. I also quit smoking on Sunday so this has made me want to eat more---Im fighting these cravings with every inch of my body:lmao: I knew quitting smoking was going to be hard but these last 3 days have been extreamly hard! Im sure it will get easier after a week or so.
I will continue to try to eat better and do more exercising but there may be a few days that I fall of the wagon cause deiting and quitting smoking at the same time can be rough!!!!!!:rotfl:

WOO HOO on the cholesterol!
Okay, ladies- we're fading fast and we still have almost 3 months before we hit the parks! So let's get our butts in gear and keep going
My weekend went from bad to worse... First, my pup dies, then my littlest sprains his leg, and on Monday? Monday, I woke up to my son's Great Dane having died in his sleep.
SOOOO. I'm finally ready to pull myself together and get back in gear. Let's just say- I ate quite a bit these past few days, but I'm willing to get back into the game!
So... Question of the day- what's the snack you are craving from WDW right now?

DisneyAprilFool
06-22-2007, 08:46 PM
We have this thing with 3s. When bad things happen- it really DOES happen in threes to me! Once, we lost a shelter cat to distemper on Friday, lost my kitten to distemper on Sunday (my kids let him in the room with the shelter cat) and then had a late miscarriage on Monday.
My Mom said if life ever went smoothly for us- we'd think something was wrong!
C'est la vie- that's life, eh?
How's everyone doing? It's sooo quiet!

I'm here, I'm here! I made a pact with my Hubby that we would not eat out again until we leave for DisneyWorld except for ONE trip to the Melting Pot as a date between here and there. Not only is it fattening eating fast food and at restaurants, but it's expensive and I dig this hole every summer!
So what's everyone up to? Finished my 60 minutes and getting ready for work *pout*

Hi guys! Sorry I've been MIA for awhile now. I started out great this week and work was going SO smooth after coming back from vacation. I should have known it was too good to be true! By Wednesday all Heck broke loose at work and I ended up working over a lot and Stress eating :sad2: Plus not having time to workout. Then Saturday we had a bunch of family come in from out of state which I didn't find out about until Thursday  So lots of cleaning to prep for that. We had a nice visit, but ate Lots of bad foods :cool2:
I swear I'm gonna do my VERY best to stay on track this week!! I am not out of the stress woods at work though, so it's gonna be a tough week.
I forgot to weigh in on Friday morning, but I did weigh yesterday morning. I'm still up from my best weight since starting, but it isn't as bad as when we first got back from vacation. I was 183 Saturday. There I said it... Thing is I had gotten down to 181.2 about 3 weeks ago, then w/ stress before vacation and vacation went Way back up. So, I guess it is good to be close again. My goal before Disney is 160 though, so I HAVE to quit doing this YoYo thing!!
Nanu - I had seen the new ticker appear and I thought, "that wasn't there before?", but didn't get a chance to say anything. party: CONGRATULATIONS!!! We plan to start trying after our trip and would be overjoyed to be pregnant whenever, but I am hoping not to end up preggers before Disney cause I don't want to miss out on any rides :rotfl2: selfish I know. I am excited for you though!!! How old is your daughter?
Pru- I'm so sorry to hear about your other dog! I hope that ends your streak of bad things! Those terrible threes can be very hard! I believe in that also, because I have seen it happen where three bad things all happen in a row. Hope everyone is dealing ok! You are doing Excellent on your exercise by the way! :cheer2:
Glenda - Congratulations on the lower cholesterol!! :cheer2: That's what it's all about!
Farrah - How's the quitting smoking going? CONGRATULATIONS!! :cheer2: I know it is hard, but you can do it!!! You and your health, and the health of your family, are Worth it!! :cheer2: Then you are trying to ween off of Pop also! You are brave! Stick too it! Try not to be too hard on yourself either, it is a lot to take on all at once! You can do it!! :cheer2:
Mssladybug - :wizard: That is some help getting on the exercise track again! You can do it!! :cheer2:
COME ON EVERYBODY!!! LET'S KEEP IT KICKED INTO GEAR!!!! :cheer2: :cool1: Let's have a GREAT week!! and SHED THOSE POUNDS!!!

Thanks foxfire for your kind words! I have not smoked in 7 days....I do still have cravings and I auto maticly want to eat when I need a ciggerete so Im not sure whats gonna happen with my weight by the time I get to disney---I may be up 30 pounds:scared1:
However I have not been able to give up the pop yet--one thing at a time I guess.;)
Enjoy your day!!
Foxfiregrrl
06-24-2007, 03:04 PM
Farrah - I agree. One thing at a time. Maybe you can come up w/ something you can use as a substitute for the ciggies, that won't add calories. Like a suckker (calories yes, but not as many as stuffing the face ;) ) or a straw that you can chew on. Of course, you can't do that forever though, cause that just replaces one habit w/ another. Good Luck! :wizard: You can do it!! :wizard:
Hope the kids get better soon, too!! Do you have a solution that you put in their ears when they get out of the pool? We used to use an alcohol & vinegar solution (I think) everytime we finished swimming.
Have a good day!!
heath-and-javens-mom
06-24-2007, 03:37 PM
No I dont have a solution yet. The pharmecist (sp) did mention putting a cap full of alcohole in each ear after they get out of the swimming pool but I just have been keeping them out all together for now. How much vinager, alcohle did you put in each ear?

Farrah - I forgot to ask my mom, but I did a quick search on the net and it says to mix half vinegar and half rubbing alcohol. We just put a few drops after swimming. You can also buy the swimmer's ear stuff at the store like Glenda said. I think they work about the same. I think the "home brew" just is cheaper and more convenient. My mom would mix up about a cup and keep it in a plastic container (like an old butter container).
How's everyone doing on the diet? and Exercise?
I didn't get to exercise yesterday, but I got 25 minutes in today.
I thought I did pretty terrible on eating yesterday, but ended up being not Too far over on calories. Today I'm doing well so far. We ended up scrapping dinner though cause DH's experimental recipe was a flop. I ate a sandwich, but I'm not sure how long that is going to last. I should be able to keep the snack healthy and not go over my calorie limit though.
Have a Great day tomorrow!!!

Good job avoiding those evil M&Ms! I wasn't so good- I had Twizzlers earlier ;)
But they were my lunch. LMAO. For dinner, I had a steak and it looked HUGE- but after I cut off the fat, it was probably 1/2 the original size! I guess that's one way to save calories!

My scale quit working a couple weeks ago so I have NO IDE where Im at on that , however I was at my neighbors house yesterday and she said Ilook like I have lost some weight--maybe she was being nice dunno but It sure made me feel good:thumbsup2
So I am under some stress...after I redid all my plans a couple weeks ago so that my sister and niece could go with us (do you remember this dilima?) Everything was a go...UNTILL YESTERDAY!! NOW my mom wants to go:scared1: I love my mom but she is definitly stressful, hard to get along with, very negitive ABOUT EVERYTHING, and I am just about sure im going to shoot myself (NOT REALLY):lmao: So anyway, I called yesterday and got her in the same room with my sister and niece, luckily there at ASMu, they couldnt get in on POP. The very nice CM got her in on FREE DINING TOO-even though the cut off for that was the 24th! However when I called to get her in on our ADRS I couldnt! EVERYTHING IS BOOKED!! There were only 2 TS that they could fit her in on. What the heck are we going to do with her while were eating at the other resturants:confused3 and shes gonna miss out on those TS credits unless she goes to eat by herself somewhere---so now I feel REALLY bad, What do I do????
Did I mentiopn that my mom only has to pay 260.00 for her trip--YEAH;;how sweet would that be?! My sister already had the room so mom just had to pay for her 7 day park hopper! I want to go disney for 7 days for 260.00!!!!
Well sorry for rambeling but do you guys have any thoughts on this??

I will probably have to change ALL of my ADR's and are wondering if anyone is having any troubles. I'm sure I will, as I am a Murphy, and NOTHING ever goes smoothly.... but.... let me know how you all are doing!!!!
I joined a different diet class last week. I am not doing that GREAT keeping to it, but at this weeks weigh in, I lost 5.5. So, I guess I did something right, or I wore lighter clothes ;)
(the ADR's I have to change it looks like I will have to pull three people from each reservation.... not positive yet, which stinks, because each minute ADR's are getting scacer and scacer (sp) )

With the electric wheelchair, I know you can rent the scooters at the park, or you can get them delivered to your resort. I just googled "electric scooter" and "walt disney world" and there's a place that rents for $30 a day or $200 a week. Ooh, there's even a place the DIS has on their site...its 1-888-SCOOTER. Hi guys...
Its okay to not gain in the first trimester. Its even okay to lose a few pounds, as long as you aren't dieting. I'm not, I'm just trying to make healthy choices. Like salads for lunch and with dinner.
Morning sickness isn't so bad for me, I just don't have an appetite.
I just discovered a great dessert if you have an ice cream craving. The new duetto gelato desserts from Turkey Hill. Normal ice cream has 300 calories in 1/2 cup. This has only 120!

how did everyone's 4th of July go ? We spent the entire day with my family and had alot of un. It has been awhile since I have spent the entire day with my family.
Eating wise I have been doing pretty well and making good choices, but what I really need to do is be motivated to work out again. I did really well there for a few months.

Hi everyone...I lost the baby last night...was in the hospital all day today. Sad, obviously. I guess I'll jump back on the weightloss bandwagon when the numbness wears off. I lost 2 pounds in blood and fluids today, so I've got a kickstart.

Oh, darlin, darlin, darlin...
I wish there were words of comfort- but really, having been there and done that- I know there are none. Please, take some time to pamper YOU- you don't need to jump immediately back on this bandwagon- we aren't going ANYWHERE and we'll be here when you are healed and ready to get back on.
Please, have your Hubby take you out to a nice dinner, go to the spa, get your nails done, your hair done- none of it will 'fix' the hole in your heart, but I've found, even when the days are dark- pampering myself makes me feel a teeny tiny bit better.
**HUGS** Oh, huge hugs. Please- if you need someone to vent to, to cry to- I'm here. I've been through it 3 times- 7 weeks, 12.5 weeks, and 8 weeks.

Ugh- I'm feeling down with myself on this weight loss plan lately...
I don't think the scale has honestly budged in 2-3 weeks- what the heck am I doing? I'm doing great exercise-wise, I'm doing HORRIBLE eating right.
Yesterday- had healthy breakfast, lunch AND dinner- but ate sunflower seeds ALL day and a box of Crackerjacks (that's the name, right?)- what am I doing sabotaging myself??? I have fresh plums, peaches and a PINEAPPLE in the fridge- why not eat THOSE instead???

Still here, darlin- plodding on. Dang, the exercise challenge kicks my butt every month!

I'm still here too. I've been really busy at work lately (still) and then we had family in town for a family reunion this weekend.
I haven't been eating well, and have done NO exercise lately.
My plan is to be back on track Monday with the eating and getting some exercise at least!
Hope everyone else is doing well.

so far today my eating has been average.
I tried to go out and exercise when I got home from work, BUT it is REALLY HOT out there and I got a really bad stich in my side from just walking :confused3 So I did just over a half mile and gave up :sad2: Then I could have come inside and done a video, but opted not to:rolleyes:

OK, just because I've been a slacker DOES NOT mean you guys can too!! :rotfl:
Where is everyone???
I have been doing TERRIBLE for the last couple of weeks! :sad1: I've been working too hard at work and just in a funky mood in general. I know that I haven't been eating right or exercising, so I just haven't wanted to get on the DIS and admit it.
I keep saying that I'm getting back on track and then the next day I go buy ice cream :confused3
I have gained 3 pounds :sad2: :guilty: Which is NOT the direction I'm suposed to be moving in!!!
The sad thing is if I had just stayed on track... I was at 180.8... I could have gotten UNDER 180!!! BUT NO! I had to blow it and eat everything in sight!
I'm hoping that TOM is coming soon and that is some of why I've been bingeing. Then maybe I can get back on track.
I ABSOLUTELY have to get started back walking or I am going to be Miserable at Disney!
Ok, enought ranting from me. Hope you guys are doing better than I have been!! :goodvibes

HELLO.. HELLo...HELlo...HEllo...Hello...hello.... Is anybody out there?
Have we all given up on losing weight before our trips?? I have only One month, 3 weeks, and 3 days left :scared1: :scared:
I have gained back a few pounds so I have even further to go to hit my goal before getting to Disney! I am quite sure that I'm not going to get the full thirty off, which would put me at 160.... right now I'd settle to hit 170 or even 175 before we get to Disney!
I have a convention Labor Day weekend and one of the costumes I'm planning for has a revealing top half, so I REALLY need to work on my abs!!! :scared: I'm scared though.
I haven't really been on track at all lately. Last week I did somewhat better food wise and even managed to walk on two days, but that doesn't really equal out my bad days. Today, I didn't get any "official" exercise, but I did go up and down my stairs about 50 times!
Work continues to be really hectic which wears me out, then I get home and don't want to exercise or am so stressed that I want to eat everything in sight :sad2: I am trying really hard to do better though!!
SO, anyone else out there still giving it a go? or doing really excellent? or has everyone given into the food porn thread? ;)
Stop in and speak... even if it's not too pretty :thumbsup2

I'm still working out every single day- just trying to control my eating habits once again. It seems if I loosen up my eating habits just once or twice, everything comes crumbling down on me! LOL! I realized my goal of 150 is a little... lofty now that I'm still sitting in the high 170s, but I'd take the 160s without complaint!

Hello ladies~
First, let me just say I am so so so sorry I haven't been online more this summer!! :) We came up to Alaska to visit family & I have been super busy with Hunter (he's growing up so fast!!!) and then our internet is so terribly slow out here, I hate even getting online.
Anyway, I hope you are all having a great summer & doing great with the weightloss. I really wanted to go back & read all of the posts I have missed but with the slow internet I don't think my computer would hold up... So, I guess I will just have to catch up from here on out.
Things have been going great up here in Alaska...can't wait to get back to Oregon & get back to work though. I get so bored here with not being able to go to work everyday.
I've lost a little bit more weight. I'm no where near where I wanted to be at this point in the summer, but I've lost weight so I can't complain. After having Hunter it is so hard to lose the "baby belly" I'm down about 20 pounds since we talked in the spring, so I'm doing alright. I have really good days where I don't eat anything unhealthy, I go for walks/jogs with Hunter in the jogging stroller and I'm super active and then I have days up here where I'm lazy and am craving everything in sight. This will probably be the way it is for the rest of my life though... :) I'm able to run a couple miles at a time again, so I'm happy about that. The first few days I started running my knees hurt so bad (I'm sure it has something to do w/ the weight gain). I'm just happy to be running again and slowly getting back to prepregnancy shape.
Anyway, I'm sorry this is a long post. Miss you all & look forward to seeing you at WDW. We are getting so close...YAY!!:cheer2:
Have a great Monday & I'll get back online to talk more soon.
Cya~

:cheer2: :cheer2: YAY! It's not just me out here :thumbsup2 :cheer2: :cheer2: Way to go you guys on keeping on trying. We all have good days and bad days and sometimes bad weeks ;) but what matters is that we keep on chugging along!
I was SO proud of myself this morning. I slept very poorly last night and ended up waking up REALLY early this morning. I am NOT a morning person and normally would have laid in bed until I fell back asleep & then not wanted to get up at my regular time :rolleyes1 BUT today... I got up and did a Total Body Sculpt routine!! :woohoo: :cool1: :cheer2:
After that I ate breakfast and drank my coffee while waiting for time to go into work! It was so nice to know that I had accomplished my workout first thing in the AM. And I'm glad too, cause work today was BAD, BAD, BAD and by the time I got home a work out just wasn't happening.
I ate out for lunch, but did good for dinner. I am however gonna have a couple of glasses of wine this evening (to calm my nerves :cool2: )
So all in all probably not a Great weight loss day, but better than wine and no exercise, right? :thumbsup2
Keep hangin in there ladies!!
Oh, and Becky - WOW to running a couple of miles at a time!!:cool1: :worship: :worship: I tried the running thing and I'm Totaly lousy at it :sad2: Way to go!
See you guys later... time to go enter a wine induced stupor :drinking1 :faint:

Good afternoon ladies~
Hope you are all having a great day. I'm back online & trying to catch up on the Dis everyday :)
Today is going alright...it's raining like crazy today in Alaska so I'm indoors and not too enthuised about going outside to get some exercise. I plan on playing softball tonight though since we are on a league team & we have a game, but we'll see how I feel when 7 o'clock rolls around & what the weather looks like.
Anyway, just wanted to stop by & say hello & see how everyone is doing. Hope everyone is doing great. :)

Yesterday was my first day of actually eating good in a loooong time! LOL! And I finished out my goal of 1800 minutes of working out for the month too!
I think I may take a well deserved work out break today and tomorrow start on my new goal- 1500 for this month (I went lower- my ankle was starting to hurt on the elliptical and no sense hurting myself before WDW! LOL!)

I fell off the wagon big time I am still down about 7lbs from when we started all this, but nowhere close to where I wanted to be.
I let my priorities slip. Time to get back up on the wagon and keep on trying. No one said this was going to be an easy journey right ?

Hey everyone get back over here!!!! I'm ready to lose weight again. I have five weeks before WDW and would LOVE to lose 10 pounds. I'm currently 155 (BMI 28.3), so it would be wonderful to be 145 (26.5). I'd still be overweight by 10 pounds, but its a start.
So here's my plan. I'm currently 4 pounds heavier than when I got home from the hospital, so I think those four pounds should come off pretty easy. I had high ambitions of riding my bike, but after asking DH to fix it for 3 weeks I don't think its going to happen. Then I thought jogging, but my foot (tendinitis) hurts too much. So I dug out the Leslie Sansome Walkaerobics. I'm going to start with 1 mile and work up to 4. Then I'll add in some pushups, crunches and any other weight liftingesque things I can think of a few times a week. I did some yoga last night and I feel great this morning.
I'm SOOOO glad someone mentioned a few posts ago about being excited about the food at WDW...that was my problem. I like choc pb ice cream...the thought of giving that up was :sad2: , but I'm just deferring it for 5 weeks and I can have wonderful ice cream at beaches n cream and still look good in the pics!
I'm going to try and eat healthier also.
Okay, going to do the walkaerobics RIGHT NOW!
Check in everyone!

Fine, no one wants to talk to me? I'll talk to myself. So the 155 weight yesterday was an estimate. A wrong estimate. Today I weighed myself right and it was 156. But no worries. I was too tired to exercise this morning. Maybe tomorrow. Even if I only do weekends right now its better than nothing. I did pretty good mealwise, except for dinner I had a cupcake and a brownie. Anyone know any good exercise videos? I really want to get the NYC ballet video, but I'm worried I'll spend $20 and it'll be dumb.

Okay, so I fell off the bandwagon again. I know many of you leave in like 3 days, but I've got 17, so I'm gonna try again. I'd love it if I could be 9 pounds less by the day we leave. I have a few things on my side. The scale at my parents makes we weigh like a pound less than I do at home. I'm having a visit from my "special friend" so I'm hoping I'll drop some quick water weight when that's done. I kept track of calories today and I'm at 700, so if I eat a sensible dinner and not touch the snack table at youth group tonite I should be good for today. I'm aiming for 1500 a day.
