We're are considering going to Sea World - Orlando with my 7 year old daughter who is allergic to peanuts. We go to Disney all the time and they are GREAT about dealing with food allergies. Can anyone tell me your experience with Sea World? Any tips you can share? Do they take food allergies as seriously as Disney?

I noticed on their website that they are partners with the National Peanut Board. The NPB said Sea World will have lots of extra peanut items on the menu AND a Thrillin' and Grillin' traveling promotion that features a 32 foot high peanut. (Food allergy or not, I just don't get THAT! LOL! :confused3 ) Any insight into whether peanuts permeate the park?

I appreciate any and all assistance! :-)

This is from Sea World's special needs in park dining part of their website.

If you are concerned about food allergens, such as peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, milk, egg or soy, please speak with a restaurant manager or supervisor to request recipes and product packaging labels before consuming any food items.

You might also be able to get some sort of info at the Guest Services office inside the park across from the Shamu' Emporium gift shop in the front part of the park. It couldn't hurt to ask them.

Its a shame they don't seem to realize just how serious a nut allergy can be, its much worse then most food allergies and can cause serious reactions such as anaphylaxis, etc., I myself have peanut and shellfish allergies and it can be frustrating.
