Can I still do online checkin with the new tax situation?

I have just had a thought about check-in for our flight on Thursday, we booked last year so needed to pay the additional tax, which I did via paypal as the virgin site tells you to. It states you have to bring the paypal invoice with you on the day to prove you have paid.

Now I am thinking will I still be able to check-in on line as virgin don't know I have paid (I don't believe the way you pay by paypal is linked to your booking)?

Firstly did you book flight only or is it part of a package from a Tour Operator as you may not need to pay if booked via the later.

If you booked flight only then here is the question and answer -

Can I still use Online Check In if I intend to pay the APD tax at the airport on the day of departure?

Yes.
