What is an ABC album? It sounds like something for a child but I have a feeling I may be wrong.

You do one page for each letter of the alphabet. It could be used to help a child with their letters but a lot of people seem to use them for extra photos they love but don't have the right place for or things that don't fit in other albums.

you can do an abc album for anything. they are kind of fun actually. I did one for irish dance (which was sort of a challenge since they don't like you to take pictures at competitions, but I won't get started on that). anyhow, A was accordian and I had a picture of the guy playing for dd's stage. L was leap (kate in air) W was wait (kate playing gameboy while waiting for scores to be posted) and so on. I believe if you wanted to do a disney abc book BernardandMissBianca has a list of things that go with the letters. :) maggie

ABC books are FUN and make a great memento! I did an ABC theme for a Disney trip that my (then) 5 yo and I took together. I looked through all my vacation pictures and made a list of words that match each letter of the alphabet - put a letter on each each page of the scrapbook. It's really my most beautiful scrapbook. A is for All-Star Sports (pictures of the hotel where we stayed) B is for Bathing Suit (because we had a really funny story involving his bathing suit that trip...), C is for Cooling Off (pictures of my son playing in the water fountains at Epcot, D is for Dizzy (pictures of him on the Teacups), etc....
Oh goodness, now I need to take that book out and review it again for a smile. :)

i really, really want to do one of these for this trip! i think it was B & MB that gave us a good list. i'll see if i can find mine and post for you. it just gives you a start.
I just finished an ABC album for my 2yo DS earlier this month. He's been able to point out which letters are which since before his second birthday so I figured this was a good time to get him into recognize words that start with each letter. He's actually doing very well with that, too.
Here's his ABC album...

I love doing ABC books, I'm hosting a Disney ABC book swap here next month. I do one once a year, I don't have kids, I just have so many cute photos. I do 2 words per letter for the book. Most I've seen are just one word per letter.

fAnnF,
I'd love to try that swap. Can you give us a little more info before the sign up?

I give each of my nieces a personalized ABC book for their second birthday. I do a two page spread for everything but Z. I generally use 3-4 larger pictures with a tag, then many small stickers of things that start with the letter and TONS of single letter alpha stickers as page filler. It's tons of fun to make - although I must admit I wish I had waited until they were 3 or 4. At 2 their parents aren't letting them read/play with the book because "Aunt Shell made it and we don't want it to get hurt" no matter how much I say I want them to enjoy it.

That sounds so great!! I am very scrapbook challenged and I think this might actually help me get out of that!! I collect every accessory, album, stickers, bags, etc but they all just sit there. I have OCD so actually putting it to paper is impossible. I must have thousands of pics that I haven't even printed out on my computer, but I love that idea... Thanks for the ideas....

I'll type up my Disney ABC list! I'll start a new thread, that way people can add to the list and I'll edit it.
