We'll be there from the 10th to the 16th before we had to our cruise. We're staying at the GF, but also have a rental, so we can meet up on or off property, but then again, why would we want to meet up off property when Disney is such a wonderful place.

Actually what would be a good place in the world for us to meet up and have a couple drinks or whatever everyone wants to do? This is our first time going as adults so I deffer to someone more knowledgeable to pick a good spot.

Will be there on a solo trip.. staying at POP with free dining... so far my ADR is only for CP at 8:15AM breakfast for the 14th, MNSSHP also on the 14th, and TOT on the 13th with a few DISER... so in between those dates I can tagb along with you guys!! :woohoo:

09/11/2007: 1900 Park Fare - 9:00 AM (yes I know 1900 Park is being remodeled on this date and it will be at another location)

09/13/2007: California Grill - 7:30 PM
09/14/2007: Rose and Crown - 7:20 PM
09/15/2007: Emeril's - 7:00 PM (this is one I must attend as I am taking my friends out who live in FL for the Degustation menu)

do you have an ADR on the 14th ??? so far heres my ADR/itinerary:

9-11 arrive at POP in the AM, Petals at 10PM with the mojito mamas
9-12 most likely DTD
9-13 TOT DIS meet between 3Pm and 4Pm, Fantasmic package/dinner at 4:50PM Mama melrose
9-14 Breakfast at 8:15AM a6 CP, MNSSHP at nite
9-15 at the crack of dawn off I go back to work :sad1:

Because most of the Dis'ers will be there that day.

But maybe we can have a mini mini meet and the ones that will be there on those days can all meet up and go to jelly rolls?
I've never set up one of these meet before so its all new to me.

If your really set on somewhere "good" just get there the minute they open the doors and ask to be put on a standby list. You usually can get a table in less than 20 minutes! (Time for a cocktail! :thumbsup2 )

The 1900 Park Fare meal is being held at the Grand Floridian Cafe. The meal is all-you-can-eat, but not buffet or family style. If you've eaten at Norway for dinner, its similar to that where you order entrees one at a time.

I missed that crack here, but caught something rather similar (I think) on the CB after things were deleted here.

I know what you mean, though. In some forums I try to be careful about whether or not it is worth engaging things that look like they have potential to turn into fights. Around here, I tend to think it is safe to be myself and trust others to have good will.

Yes, there are the people who pop-in with new usernames and those who adopt a new identity because they are worried about their friends from other forums finding them. But, these people seem to either need this space and use it as space to come out. Or, if they don't have good will, get quickly and easily contained by Viki or Rick and ignored by the rest of us.

Perhaps this would be a good time to tell you all how much I appreciate your participation around here. Thanks for everything!

Let's see, Jamie and Ben were belly up to the bar when ConcK and I arrived, and shortly after Peter Pan and LukeinDC joined us.

We had a drink or two in the pup, then headed to the courtyard behind England for some gossip! The worker bee's retired for the evening, but I can assure you Jamie and Ben along with Peter were off to celebrate at PI!

It was really nice meeting everyone and putting faces with names.

Just a few thoughts/comments.

Poor Ben, Jamie is so in love with Disney it was actually fun to watch! But I don't think Ben is quite so into it! It's ok buddy, give me a call, next time I'll take you to Bush Gardens!

ConcK, how was your ride home? Got heat lightning? WOW!

Jamie and Ben were both great, and I agree with Mike it was a hoot to watch the look on Ben's face while Jamie went on (at lenght) about Disney. ;)

It was good to meet Peterpan too. I wanted to go to PI with you 3, but the 4:30 wake-up time for work didnt agree with that!

It was my second time hanging out with LukenDC (we were both at tiki fest), but I've been seeing him around because of the resort he booked. Hopefully he'll be able to pick up one of those items he wanted in Morrocco before he heads out :rolleyes1

Luckily for the week I was there it only rained for 30ish mins a day... sometimes those 30 mins were at inconvient times but at least it wasn't all day... only time that was really annoying was Friday night for MNSSHP which basically got rained out :(

It was pouring for a good while on Sunday before I left... luckily my flight was late enough that it didn't effect it. It also managed to hold off until after the 3pm parade instead of during it like it had the previous 4-5 days =p

Next year I will go later in September so there is more then one MNSSHP in case the shows/parades/etc get rained out during one like this time.

I guess those are the joys on FL in September though =p

Hey there guys! I returned yesterday (Thursday) and overall had a great vacation. I spent a week at WDW followed by four days at Universal. Universal is fun, but it does not interest me nearly as much as WDW and I probably won't return for a few years. As for WDW, I am already looking forward to my return next September!

It was great meeting everyone and putting names and faces together. I need to figure out how to enhance my Moroccan experience and deepen my intimacy with that nation! LOL
