Is anyone else here in need of a babysitter for that night?
The kids clubs don't stay open late enough for us to leave Zack there during the race. You have to pick up by midnight. My only choice is to hire a Fairy Godmother to come to our room.
I could ask my grandparents to watch him, but they live about an hour away from WDW. We'd have to drive him up Sat., then pick him up Sunday. And I know my grandparents are in great health & all. But I think an active 4 year old boy is alot to ask them to handle for an entire day.
I was thinking that if any other WISHers were in the same situation, maybe we could share a Fairy Godmother and leave the kiddos in one of our rooms until we were done with the race/party.
If anyone is interested, let me know!

Kristi--where are you staying? I might have another option for you--my DSIL is driving over from Ft. Myers to watch our kiddos during the race and hang out with us for the weekend. She might be willing to watch Zach as well. She's a kindergarten teacher and is great with the kiddos (and a heck of a lot cheaper than Fairy Godmothers!)! Let me know if you would like me to ask her:thumbsup2

Stephanie - that is very sweet of you to offer, but I cannot impose on your SIL like that!
"Hello person I just met. Here's my crazy kid. See ya later. Bye!"
And it has nothing at all to do with not trusting her - I just feel like I would be imposing.
And that's not why I posted the question in the first place.

Um, and why not????? She's getting a great deal out of this trip anyway--a couple measly hours babysitting and she gets free room/meals and MNSSHP for payment! We should all be so lucky!;) Seriously, I don't mind asking her--can't hurt, right? And I'm sure I'll be packing enough children's benadryl to dope an army--so we can calm those kiddos down really quickly!:rotfl:

Wanna hear something even funnier? I've already started packing (OK, laying things aside) for our Panama Canal cruise which is 11 months away! I hope I don't have any guests planning to use my guest room....every corner has stuff I plan to take on a particular vacation.....and all the drawers are filled with Christmas gifts I've already purchased and am hiding from my kids! Gotta put it somewhere and Lord knows there's no room in my closet!

Only you would be putting stuff aside for our cruise in 2008. I on the other hand will still be packing the night before I am to leave. Now how can I come and play golf with you if the guest room is filled with all that other stuff.
We are leaving on 10/17 so, I will be practice partying before everyone else gets there.

However, my cruise in March....I started packing for that when I booked in March 07.
Jean: Lets make that 3 big ole butts. However, my goal is to lose the 10pds I gainned since the Minnie by then.
Judy: Italy that must have been beautiful

We should set a time and place to meet for just a bit after the race ends to regroup for the photo :) We CAN'T miss a photo op like this :thumbsup2 OH!!! And though I'm terrified of the ToT I think plans should be made for those who aren't to try to meet up and see if they can't get their own ToT Car filled with ONLY Wish Team members. For those of you planning on doing the Epcot Food & Wine Festival - you can get your taste buds salivating by checking out the menus for the tasting booths they will have right here:

Canada is featuring wine from Mission Hill Wineries. This place is just down the road from my parents house in BC and it is fabulous. I highly recommend giving their wine a try if you like that kind of thing!

I am so there forToT riding!
Leanna thanks for that link. I definitely plan to eat some of my way around the world there. Ted and I tried to do that last year but I think we need to move that to a couple of days' efforts. It was impossible to "taste" from every location.
Kristi, I know we will just have to do Jelly Rolls one night for sure!

Leanna!!! I love Mission Hill's Ice Wine, sadly we can't get it by me so I am very much looking forward to being able to have a taste of it again. I don't do much with wines or anything like that really I'm more a ice cream kinda gal LOL But I really like theirs and I might be an odd duck because I liked it better than that other really popular name brand that is alluding me at the moment LOL
I'm looking forward to the F&W again. My last time i was a bit more adventurous and am looking forward to trying more things that I wouldn't normally eat. I don't forsee a ton of eating since Thursday and Friday night are really are Epcot nights and we have dinner at 5 pm on both nights planned but I think with 4 traveling in our party we can managed to split a few things :thumbsup2

Diane - The other popular ice wine you might find down in the US is from Iniskillin. They have both a winery in BC, and one in Niagara I believe, but most of what you find in the US is from the Niagara region. Mmm, I love ice wine too - it is kind of like apple pie in a glass...

I hear you on the start time being "after" bedtimes!! I invited my sister and my niece to come to the party (its the day after my DSis' bday so I think that will be a good gift!!) But my main reasoning is because my DH goes to bed early and I don't want him to be bored waiting for me to get finished running. Yeah like he could get bored riding RNR over and over and over and..... (I wonder how many times he could ride it continuously while I run??? :confused3 ) At least with my sis and my niece they can keep him company and keep him awake!!!
I keep thinking today is the 27th and I am thinking TOT is in one month - :scared: nope its in only 29 days!!

Oh and Susan has motion sickness, just gives her a terrible headache.
IronZ we've been wondering about a possible bag check too :) I found a pair of cropped pants this weekend that has a pocket I can slip my room key into and with that in mind LADIES TARGET HAD A GEW SHORTS AND PANTS MARKED DOWN THAT HAD POCKETS. It's a sad day when I'm the one that has to give you the information. We are eating in Germany at 6:45pm on Friday. We should probably do the 5:45pm concert as you never know if we are finished with dinner in time for the 8:30pm. It probably would be easier to meet up at Epcot on Friday than at MNSSHP. We are staying at bwv and will be walking to the start unless we are at another park. My cousin is joining us for the party but not the race. I would love to get together with everyone and i will let you know if we can as soon as i can get a commitment from them. I would love to see Aerosmith and would probably walk even faster just to see more of there concert.

Welcome princessrunner!:welcome:
Nancy: don't let your boys hear that you don't know who Aerosmith is. Geez, even I know them. Of course, it would help if you weren't too chicken to go on RnRC! G-o-o-o-i-n-g-g-g D-o-o-w-w-n-n-n...........
Let's do the early show, then after our beers in Germany, we can throw our panties at the Village People during the second show.
I have done the RnRC in the past but other than seeing them in that ride I am totally clueless to any of their music. They look like younger version of Rolling Stones.
If you start throwing panties I am so not knowing you. You can only do that if you see Tom Jones.

:welcome: to all our new teammates! (I haven't been here in so long I can't remember whom I've already welcomed! :lmao: )
Happy Birthday to everyone with birthdays coming up! :cake:
My training is temporarily derailed while I deal with my back, but I did 10 miles a couple of weeks ago, so I'm hoping I'll be fine. It's so good to know you guys won't leave me behind!
Off to see if Howard adn I can join Vic's dinner party! :)

Just curious if anyone running the 13 K has a time goal and might want to get together with me to help pull each other to a sub one hour race (we would need to hit 7:30 per mile for the length of the run)?

Just PMed ya,
HeyShuttle Launch Tuesday KEWL!!!!!
Yeah We Made It, At OKW, long day yesterday, Travel, grocery shopping, then met up with Linda , Kay, Ashley and Karen m and their son Gary.
Grocery shopping is draining, don’t know why but it is. Then we are on the 3ed floor room, so it took a few trips to get all the stuff upstairs.. Good work out for sure
It seem like trips to WDW and DL are becoming family reunions , this is KEWL!!!!
Will activate our AP’s this morning at MK. Going to MK first is a tradition.

It's looking like it might be my first solo trip after all. My buddy is probably not going to be able to go after all. I should know for sure by tomorrow night. He just now told me.

It's official I will NOT be attending the ToT, going to be deployed again prior to the race. :sad2: DW mrstropicana (Cheryl) WILL be attending however, and is probably going to take her sis down with her and after picking up both our packets have her run under my bib sneakily or something like that. GL to all participants and don't worry, I SHOULD be back just in time for Goofy 2008.:goodvibes

The final instructions say that only the 13k is timed - the 6.5k isn't.
