I am loving this - we are staying there in Sept, so it's like I am getting a sneak peak!!!!

I agree! We will be there for the first time the end of August. I was afraid I may have to change resorts in order to get free dining, but I didn't have to! :cool1:

I love looking at all of these pictures in anticipation of our trip ... can't wait until I can add my own! :goodvibes

I will be there tomorrow with the beginning stages of a cold/allergies. The plane ride will be lots of fun with the head cold/allergies. I bought some benedrill & gum today. Im getting really excited now!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

Jenseib, I have to say it's been refreshing to see some of your pics from different angles than we've seen (not that I mind seeing things over and over again!), like the juke box and the 3 1/2" floppy with Pac-Man in the background. Great job! I'm hoping to find some new views in Sept, too!

We've had lots of great pictures in the past couple of weeks, infact. Lighting is another thing I love to see contrast on with shadows and time of day!

Since you were just at POP, can you advise if they were doing any work at the abondoned site on other side? I have read conflicting reports they have have started work and would like to hear from someone who was there. We will be at POP at the end of Nov/beginning Dec and were wondering about it.

Where is the room with the TV at I don't remember seeing that last time we where there, we didn't get much time to check out the resort either. I'm guessing that is a great area for the kids to lounge while we check in.

I am so glad I found this thread. We stayed at the CBR the last two trips and were booked for the WL before Uncle Sam hit! I was so bummed that we were having to substantially downgrade our resort but, after finding this thread, I am feeling more reassured with each post.

I've finally achieved my dream of finding some way to go to WDW for a business trip:rotfl2:. This will be my 6th or 7th stay at Pop (can't remember right now), and I can't wait to get back there.

It's not really a great mystery--I'm heading to the Doll and Teddy Bear Weekend with my business partner. We have a teddy bear business. She's disabled, and needs someone to travel with her, so it's a perfect match. We have some appointments set up with "bear people" that she knows, and this should be great fun. Besides, her birthday is the day before mine, and we will be at Pop for both!

We were there last September and we never waited long for any bus at the resort. You will be fine. Even when the parks close and the line looks huge, they send two busses at a time for Pop, so you won't wait long.

We were there for a long weekend this past 2/27-3/2. It was even considred one of the "Wonderful Weeks at Disney." Crowds in the parks were fantastic, yet for some reason POP was still PACKED!

Yep, each building has an elevator in the middle of a T shaped building. Then there were stairs at each end.

It depends on the time of day you go to. The bus stop is usually always busy in the morning. Also you will notice in that picture that not ALL the parks had long lines. So it's was most likely the park(s) with EMH's that had the longest lines. I noticed that both times I went to be the case. The first year we went on all EMH days to the parks and they were crowded, and we only used the evening hours once. This year we went to MK during evening hours (as we arrived a 5:50pm) and then the rest of the stay we didn't do anymore. We did enough in the day, and DD sleeps in so monring ones are of no use to us. The parks were much less busy than last year. Not sure if it was going to the different parks or if it was jsut slower, but I liked the plan this year better. We didn't have park hoppers either.

Mmmmm... I was thinking of staying at ASMo, but now may have been converted. This just looks so cool and the ASMo actually looks a little run-down compared to Pop! Is the bus line typically pretty packed in January? How long a ride is it to the parks?

I've stayed at both - I liked Pop better. :)

As for the bus line, I went in January last year and I don't remember anything significantly bad about the bus lines. The only thing I can think of was that we were just a tad few minutes late for the Animal Kingdom opening, but that was mostly due to our poor planning and not due to the buses. In other words, hope for the best, be prepared for the worst, and plan wisely. :)

Mmmmm... I was thinking of staying at ASMo, but now may have been converted. This just looks so cool and the ASMo actually looks a little run-down compared to Pop! Is the bus line typically pretty packed in January? How long a ride is it to the parks?

We saw this sky writing while at POP! This was taken from our 4th floor "balcony" in the 60's building.

I think it says Hippy with a smilie face. There was skywriting another day, but I didn't take a pic.

That's the "Jesus Jet" - some guy who skywrites Jesus Loves You and other messages. He wrote messages every day when we were there.

I have to say this is probably the best picture I have seen to date!!

Notice that the playdough is red inside the can. When you are on the ground, the lid is red as well. We just thought that was so well thought out!

Excellent pic. We were on the 4th floor and had the view every day while waiting on the elevator!

My mom took that picture. We were debating on captioning it "Elephant Butt", but thought the "Place with a View" title sounded so much better. She was just walking around the resort taking pictures while we were at the kiddie pool.

If you want to see about eleven thousand Pop and other pictures that my mom takes, go to the Baby and the Tramp link below. You will see more pictures from more angles than you probably ever care to see. We spend a lot of our trip waiting for her to catch up with us because she's stopped to take pictures!

We're going to be back on June 28th, so if you have requests for pictures, I can assure you she will try her best to get them!

Thanks for the compliments. I think Pop lends itself to being photographed. I actually think all of Disney World lends itself to being photographed, with so much detail and unique decor.

The little one playing in the water jet in the kiddie pool is my granddaughter. She loves the water, and it is not an enjoyable task trying to convince her that pool time is over. Her lip puckers, and she acts as if we are punishing her by taking her away from her fun.

My DH and I will be staying at POP for the first time. We will be there Aug. 28 thru Sept 11. 14 days we upgraded to deluxe dining for only $32.00 each per day. I booked 42 table services each for the both of us. I think we are just going to eat our way around the world.:dance3:

This one was around 7:15am as we were walking over to the MK bus. We saw the balloons out 2 or 3 mornings this trip. If you have a lakeview room, it's a good idea to step out in the early morning and see if they are going by. :goodvibes

I know it has been said many times before but I sure hope Disney gets around to doing something withthe Legendary Years. The rumor about it being an all suite hotel would be excellent or even if it was just a couple of the bulding of suites. The average family may only have two kids but there are lots of us who have more and would like to see more accomodations to suit larger families or travelling parties.

The pictures on this thread are great btw. I can hardly wait to get there!!

For those who made recent requests, lake and playground, there are sever al of those posted through out the thread. But the shower/locker room areas is a great request. I don't think I have yet to see a picture of those.

Has anyone taken - or is it possible - to take a picture of the "fingerprints" on the elephant in the Play-Doh? I've always been curious to see it.

Hey everyone ( espescially DeclansDad) i just bought my new camera it's an Olympus Stylus 840, I also purchased the Aquapac for underwater photography hoping to get some cool Pool shots at POP .......cant wait...

Cool aerial photo on google earth. I had an older version of google earth and it worked fine. I downloaded the update this am and tryed running it. It was so s l o w. I don't know if it has to do with maybe the site is bogged down in traffic because of new Disney feature or if it's me. I have new laptop with 50 gig hardrive (35 gig still free) and dual processor. We also have DSL. I hope I can get it running faster.

It's been super slow for me, too, and I don't have DSL. I think it has something to do with the Disney feature, because all other programs on my computer are running at their regular speed, and every other location on Google Earth is working quickly EXCEPT for Disney, so it probably has something to do with the 3D stuff. I hope it gets fixed soon! :)

I was doing the car pool and overheard her talking about the BBB... we got home and I mentioned it, something to the effect, that was great, but you wouldnt want to do it again?

She is looking forward to doing it again!! I found a white tshirt with a Princess Crown in gold at Disney Store, she'll wear that -

I have to say, Disney is indeed "Magic"!!
