Hi everyone - a little (a lot) OT here, but everyone always posts things so niccely on this board. :) Do you think I should buy the refillable mug for my 2 year old? :confused3 I know that policy states that he can share with me off my plate, or at buffets with no additional cost, but I don't know if this would filter over to drinks at POP too. I do intend to buy cups for the rest of us. He won't likely drink out of the cup in any case & I'll just be pouring into the cup and transferring to his sippy.
Just a remeinder again!! This thread is for Pictures!! As stated in the origional post Questions about Pop should be directed to the Groovy new Pop thread.

Last time we went in 2005 we asked for a 50's room....Bldg. #1 was closest to the pool and Everything POP/Dining ,but the 60's rooms are the closest but preferred ! Hope that helps!:hippie:

For us one of the greatest benefits of having a lake view room was the wild life right out side our door every day. We'd wake up in the morning, open the door and be greated by a gaggle of ducks just wondering around. A few would even run up to the walk way and quack "Good Morning" to us. The rabbits were another treat. Most stuck the edge of the bushes but they were every where and a few would pop out, watch us go by, and then pop back into the bushes.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but the closer it gets to my trip, the more paranoid I become!!:lmao: I always see pictures of stairwells, but are there also elevators? We requested a top floor and I can't imagine my children walking up all the stairs after a long day in the parks. Thanks!

Yes--the elevators are in the middle of the buildings (where the three wings meet) and the stairwells are on the end. No worries!

You'll have to get a website to host them (photobucket is one you can use) and then post the link with the image tag. You'll have to right-click on your pics on the website you use, scroll down to "properties", click on that. Copy and paste the link that it shows into the line on the image tag window (easier to use than trying to do the code yourself sometimes... so it would look like this in the post: [img] link to picture (replace "link to picture" with the actual link and it should work.

To post a picture, sign up with photobucket or some other picture hosting site. Then you click on the browse button and search your computer for your picture. (I keep mine in "MY PICTURES" so it's easy to find) Double Click on the picture and then it should write it's code on the line. Hit upload. Once it is there you may need to resize it to forum size. You can click the edit button to do this. It is very annoying to have a super large picture posted! :rolleyes1 Then you rightclick on the IMG link and copy it. Then you paste it here or where ever you want to put it. I'm not sure what the other poster was talking about with properties, but this is the easiest way I know. If you need any more help, I'll try to help. It is pretty simple actually, but confusing at first when you don't know how to do it.

I have lived here all of my life. Funny thing is we do not go to the beach that often. I live in the mid-coast area so I usually go to Reid State Park or Popham Beach State Park. We go camping inland at Sebago Lake State Park or way up in Eustis on Flagstaff Lake. Love the mountains.
Hope that weather is great for your trip.

Since we are on the bus stop theme... This was taken May 10 @ 8:20 am while waiting for the bus to Epcot and no we didn't just miss the bus. I had to take this quick as the bus was just coming and no one else got in line! We made it to Epcot for rope drop and Soarin' in plenty of time!!! :cool1:

Last year, my daughter saw this and said, "Look! A giant MP3 player!" I explained how it was an 8-trac, and that was how you listed to music in the 70s, and my son said, "If that was an MP3 player in the 70s, it would have to be THAT BIG." :)

You, I swear I walked about every inch of the result, and I NEVER ran across the playground. I must be blind, becuase people described it to be near the 70's section, which is where I stayed ,and I probably walked right by it and never even saw it! :confused3

Thanks for pointing that out. I pretty much did walk by it everyday! LOL! We walked along building 10 to the bus stop every day. I can't beleive I never noticed it over there. I think I even took that path the goes by it once or twice as well. But in my defense...:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 ...I had a 2 year old with me and she was a bundle of energy! Hey DisneyFreak06, you've got some great pics! :thumbsup2 You can resize your pics when you upload them to photobucket. On the upload screen just above where you browse on your computer for your pics, there is an options link that allows you to set the size of the pic when it is uploaded. If you choose the message board size, the pics will upload in that size. And that's all there is to it. I hope it works for you.

Love you window photos.... yes we did it 2 yrs ago and will be decorating our window again in less than 2 weeks. My dd packs a small amt of Disney memoriabilia and displays it in our window. Last time I did not display our Home Depot LGMH because, when we are actually in our room we are resting and don't want to be disturbed by other Disers with a "knock on our door". We do however carry our LGMH on us when we are at the parks and watch out for other Disers all the time :thumbsup2 Say "Hi" if you see us !!!!:woohoo:

I had lgmh's on the stoller, on the backpack, hanging from the rear view mirror of the car, and the pop window. no one ever said hello, and I never saw any others. I sure was looking though. maybe next time......:thumbsup2
good idea about keeping them off your window while your resting, I had'nt thought of that. did'nt have that trouble though

Thank you.
We have Sony Cybershot point and shoot now. The pictures are from several different years and different Sony models. I love to take pictures. On a weeks vacation I usually take around 2000 pictures. Yet I am not real serious about it... I would like to get a DSLR so I could have a little more control, but DH doesn't want to get me started on that yet.
I don't do any photoshopping, yet... I have found if I take enough photos a couple of them will come out nice. I also have a very patient DH that is usually willing to stop or go back if I spot that perfect shot.

When we stayed at Pop in May, we stayed at the 60's building with a lake view. It was great. This pool is actually located between the 50's and 60's buildings past the Hippy Dippy Pool. We didn't even notice it until our second day at Pop. We would come down the stairs by Balou and it's it's pretty much straight ahead but it was hidden by the trees etc. :)

Do you have any pictures of where you stayed?? We requested almost the exact same place so any pictures would help. Thanks,
BigGreen73

Thank you Staci! We have been thinking of a trip in April 08 but really would rather go just after Thanksgiving and I think your pictures are helping to swing us more towards late Nov 08! Now this is 15 whole horrible months instead of only 7½ so that says a lot about how much we love the parks during December  . It was just extra magical when we went last year.
Everyone else thank you as well, brilliant heart string pulling pictures :goodvibes . BigGreen73 great room choice :thumbsup2 . I pulled it up on the preferred room map and see that it isn't even preferred so way to go! We always, because we are sappy nostalgics and stayed in the 50's for our first trip always request 50's but I just may request your room as well for our next trip!

You are quite welcome. I saw where someone in this post said they saw the turtles; but, there was no pic. Also, the stretch pics from the bridge may be a little distant; however, that is not on this thread either.
I'm glad that the window was also cool to poohbear. I think I changed it around at least 4 times. Perhaps you noticed the pirates rings on the towel animal. They will go well with our groups theme for our cruise. My DD put the items together that are in the siggie for our shirts & bandanas for pirates night. Plus, on the meet & greet time the people on our thread will be wearing one of the shirts so we can recognize each other.

That would depend how many are in your party & what you're looking for. I've been to both for different reasons. OKW in a 2 bedroom unit when there's 8 of us. POP when it's only 4. When you have a large party, you cannot beat OKW. The units are very large & comfortable! I really loved POP for the exact reason you stated....the "Disney" experience. It was just fun!
POP..we stayed in the 50's Tramp Section both times! It was great!

This is the OKW from living room, dining area (with my niece Taylor!) to the left & kitchen straight ahead.

OK, here is a quick one. I took this from the car as we turned on to century Drive. As for how it was, you will need to read the trip report. I just started and posted part 1.

Go for it. I know what you mean, because I looked at it about every day. I wanted to buy the colander, since it's big and it's a practical souvenir, but I didn't this time. It's on my list to get some trip in the future, though. Kristi had gotten me a couple of the utensils on a trip she went on with her mom and brother a while back. It was the perfect gift for me, since I really enjoy cooking.
