I stopped there to use my 50% off coupon and found everything I wanted, that's in my budget was already on sale. Jo-ann's brand of embellishments were 60% and there were some cute things. Paper - 6 for .96 but I resisted.

I didn't...6 for .96 I just couldn't pass that up...

I went in for a pattern, sold out...
I went in for some double sided quilted fabric...nope...
So, I had to buy the paper. I mean I saved all that money on patterns and fabric...ya know?

Hmm, I still have the gift card from Panera and that is right in front of JoAnn's. So if I tell my DH we just need to eat at Panera tonight, oh, my goodness, lookie there, we should stop in JoAnn's too. :rotfl:

i went to joanne's sunday morning with coupon in hand and wanted to buy the zooballoo cartridge. so i did the whole argument about whether or not i could use the coupon or not, ok got over that, she rings it up. then she tells me she has to go in the back to get it. ok. i'll wait. and i'll wait. and i'll wait some more. after 20 minutes, no kidding, she every so slowly walks back behind the register and tells me there are none of that one in the back! then tells me they will have to refund it and i'll have to wait until it comes in. so i ask if they will honor the coupon when it finally does come in. her reply is " ah nnnoooo". ok by now, i've had it. every time i go there its a problem. so i ask to speak to the manager to see if she will honor the coupon, or can i special order it and pay for it today with the coupon. the manager tells her over the ear piece that they wear, that no they will not. so i ask if she can come to the desk and at least talk to me! so she comes over, all grumpy and such, i explain the situation, and reluctantly, she agrees to let me order it with the coupon. REALLY. they need a lesson in customer service.
ok sorry so long i just had to vent!

WOW that was very rude of them to treat you that way. :sad2: I can't believe the manager won't come over and talk to you face to face. Guess I am lucky the store here has nice people working in it and they haven't given me any problems with the coupons and competitors coupons.

I used the 50% off coupon to buy the DCWV 12 x 12 spring mat stack (solids). I was pretty happy since I have the 5 x 7(?) patterned stack and I really want the colors to coordinate right for the Easter layouts. This was my first trip to a Joann's (didn't even know there was one near me until yesterday), and I was somewhat disappointed. DH bought my Big Shot at Joann.com and I had hoped to find dies, but there weren't any at all of any brand.
