I think our ressie is for 9/22 - 10/5. I won't be joining Shirley until 9/25 though.
For next year, I vote we go together and form a Grand Gathering. We would only have to be there one day in common. And then, we could qualify for special events like the Safari Celebration or the International Illuminations Dinner

we didnt bounce back... I just didnt think the new dining plan is all that great, and I think they did offer some great incentives last year (40% a room only code)
who knows? I'd like to go later into Oct and try a different Party for the senses...

We did not sign up for the bounceback either. The heat and rain was just too much for us. Saving money at the expense of having a good time (the POP Parties were the high point) is just not worth it. I am thinking maybe a return in the Spring when it is still cool enough for me to breathe. I can easily eat a lot less, spend a lot less and be a whole lot happier! :thumbsup2

Morning Gals,
I didn't book the bounce back either but will probably tag along with BONZI & JanJan (Glow Party 2006ers) next September. As for the days, have no clue at the moment but we most likely will go end of Sept, first of Oct so we can get our GLOW on at the F&W too ;) Or.. first of Sept so we can use our AP's:confused: To soon to tell :rotfl:

I will be at Pop 8/30-9/8 due to my son's schooling as well. It is just much easier to go when the kids are just setting in to school and don't have much homework coming home than when we did in September which was just as they were really getting into the swing of things and getting lots of homework and big projects. I am in for a meet the beginning of September. Farah, or anyone else if you need help organizing a beginning of September party let me know.

It is starting to look as if I will HAVE to go in September too just to keep you kids in line. Someone has to watch out for you. Trouble lurks AND I know just where to find it! I have much more experience and then when we find it I can sit back, look innocent in my dotage, and blame it all on YOU!!

I'll keep thinking. Not that I have any say, since I didn't actually make it to the party. We did run into several of you all around the parks, though--SlightlyGoofy, Utahmama and aksunshine (), among others. We're booked for POFQ for 9/6-9/20, so if I can't make it over for the party, I'll be looking for you in the parks--I know you'll be the ones having too much fun!:woohoo:

thunderbird1, you just go ahead and jump right in. Not having a right to say something never stopped me and it surely should not stop YOU! :rotfl: It was so nice to meet you on the trip. Hope it was one of my 'good' days as a few times when I met people I was having trouble knowing exactly where and who I was. Not that does not happen frequently any old way. :)
Tanya90210, whom are you suggesting should 'organize Kelli"? Also, why would anyone want to do so. She is such a delightful disorganized combination and why wreck perfection? :thumbsup2
keliblue, I have never been able to keep my children and grandchildren in line and why I would want to keep all of you in line? You are far too entertaining as it is. You all might have to watch out for the seasoned 'troublemaker', me, though.:scared1:

Kelli, you are a wise woman to know truth, even about yourself, when you hear it. (ducking for cover):rotfl:
How did you know that I love hot cocoa almost as much as hugs? I think I shall go get one right now, hot cocoa that is.
I hope Pooh and can come and bring her feller as he entertained my dh on the first meet and gave me a chance to visit. I have to tell the truth and admit that I threatened Tom to pieces and he behaved pretty darned well. Usually he refuses to let me talk. (He does not like the sound of a woman's voice) :scared1: Now, you know why I am so verbose.
Have to also admit to a bit of chicanery in that I told Tom, before leaving on the September trip, that the Dream Team only gives prizes to folks who look happy and not grouchy. I got several 'dreams' he did not get a one. :woohoo: I share nicely though.
I have spent some of this morning checking out cheap food options for the December trip so, for today, it is back on. Day by day. Life is so darned changeable. Wish I were.

You guys are all making me jealous with your talk of the bounceback!! We didn't book and had said that this would be our last trip for awhile, probably until we had kids to bring along :scared:
DH & I both keep saying how much we want to go back though :cloud9: So, maybe just maybe we'll get back w/in the next two years.
I was a touch disappointed with the crowd levels while we were there though. I know I shouldn't complain because it was still WAY better than the more crowded times. It's just that when we were there in Sept 05 there were NO lines and this time there were a lot more lines than I had bargained for.
I'm not sure when we will make it back, but I was considering that a Jan or Feb trip in 09 may work better for us? :confused3 I hear it is not too crowded then, and Sept is a hard month for us because we have a big convention the first weekend every year. Have any of you guys gone in late Jan/ early Feb before? I know we wouldn't get the free dining, but maybe there would be some other deal that would help a little?

I went the first week of February this time for my birthday. It was fabulous!! Weather was comfortable and the crowds were non-existant. However, I have heard that the weather can be iffy that time of year. One year cold, the next not. I'm going again for my birthday in 2008 so I guess I'll find out.

I live between two churches and was a long time 4-H leader as well as volunteer in the schools so I pretty much know most of the kids in this town and it seems as if they ALL to come to my house for Halloween. I have a huge laundry basket full of Little Debbies, gum, etc. as well as a huge platter of homemade peanut butter cookies (adults only) so I think I am ready. The back door is unlocked so that my grandkids and friends can come over when they get bored giving out treats at their church.
It is warm enough that I can sit on the front porch and not have to deal with opening and closing the door and heat loss so I am happy and looking forward to all the little devils, I mean angels arriving shortly. :woohoo:
May all your tricks be treats tonight and always!!

Now I have to make a little pit stop at the hospital next week. Kidney stone the size of Gibralter!!! So I'll be off most of next week and hope to catch up here then.

good luck with the kidney stone .i got one out last nov 2906. they said it was bigger than a golf ball. it took 5 hours of lazer surgery . it was suppose to be about 2 hours and go home that day but spent 3 nights in thomas jefferson hospital in philly, a good hospital in this area. i was then in pain for 4 weeks couldn't drive anywhere for about 4 weeks and sick for those 4 weeks couldn't tolarate any painkillers. let us know how you do better than me I hope have a nice thanksgiving

Ouch ladies! All that pain and no baby to show for it afterward???
pooch, I hope they get you fixed up soon. Is that the procedure where they sit you in a hot tub and use sonic rays to break it up?
Maria395712 , that sort of experience sort of sticks with one does it not? If you have one kidney stone are you apt to have more? I hope not. I had gallbladder problems and do not think mine were as bad as many and I was screaming with pain. I am not much of a wimp either.
keliblue, I am a big drinker (water) so that must be why I have not had that particular affliction. I have bad lungs and have never smoked. Figure I am going to get cirrhosis of the liver next cause I do not drink alcohol. I try to be grateful for the fact that I have not, yet, developed anything that I deserve though.

keliblue, congratulations!!! I always sort of wanted a set of twins. I am crazy for kids, they just tickle me to pieces. You will discover that grandkids are a much improved version of children. The parents are responsible for feeding, clothing and all that mundane stuff and you get to do the fun stuff. Also, if and when you get tired of them you can send them home. My sil once asked me why his boys were so good for me and not for him. I told him my secret was that if they did not obey I would take them home to him and they did not want to go! :lmao: Last night my oldest grandson called and had me log onto the same web page he was on so we could look together. He just lives up the road. You will make such a wonderful grandma. Exactly what every child wants, someone who can give guided tours of Disney World!! When are they due??
BTW, you make me smile too. :)

We didn't book the bounceback promotion last year (although I wish we had) but we are now waiting for the free dining announcement so that we can take another trip this year.
Hope you are all doing great & hope 2008 is treating you well!

imadisneynut, I shure do!! I never did see your window decorations though. I will file those pics along with ones of your entire group to remind me, should I need it. Senility ya know??? :lmao:
Did you explode from all that good food? I nearly did. Just about the time I got Septembers weight off I was back in December. :scared1:
Do you have any more trips planned?

imadisneynut, it is unlikely that we will be making any trips this year at all. Mostly cause I am not feeling too well. If a miracle occurs and they get me figured out and fixed up one never knows. :thumbsup2
Have you been on a Disney cruise before? I am not sure which I like better the cruise before or after WDW. I am sure you will have a lot of fun either way!
