We are booked in a 2 BR at the BCV in August (waitlist for dedicated but I'm not holding my breath). If we end up on the 5th floor, are the balconies closed in, it's hard to tell in some of the photo's. I'd prefer not to get an enclosed balcony since I really enjoy sitting out on the balcony in the morning and evening.

I don't think they're enclosed. They do have railings of course, but not a solid pieces of metal.

The balcony I had on the fifth floor wasn't closed in, but the balcony I had on the fourth floor was (#422-lock off studio, so it could be part of a 2 BR).

Thanks, this picture from All Ears shows some at least partially enclosed so when you are sitting down you can't see out very well.

We've been in a couple of those rooms and didn't find the view overly restricted.
