Just can't decide from the info I have so far-which one would be better? HIFS was about $100 more for 6 nights than but am not sure for our first and, probably, only trip to Florida? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!! <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">

Have you checked out each hotel's website? You don't say the ages of your kids...that may be a deciding factor, also. We were at HIFS and absolutely loved it! We liked having two bedrooms plus the living room. Does Buena Vista have two bedrooms or just one? If it's only 100.00 total more for HIFS, I think I'd go there if Buena Vista only has one bedroom. If you have younger kids, I think HIFS is more kid-friendly.

I have been reading about great things on HIFS. It has so much to offer that you don't even have to leave this resort. I would pick this one over Buena Vista Suites.

and I don't think we will stay there again. Its not that there was anything terribly wrong with it, but there is not too much special about it either. I think for only $100 difference you might be happier at HIFS.

Although we've never stayed at the Buena Vista Suites I'd like to agree with the other opinions that the HIFS is a great place.

In fact, last year we stayed the first 2 nights at the Swan and although the service is great, the location is fantastic, and it's a very beautiful hotel, we still all preferred the HIFS.

There are a few things about HIFS that don't get talked about a lot here but made our stay there even nicer. Such as a full mirrored closet in the adult bedroom, a ceiling fan, a raised bed to put suitcases under, a deep wire rack in the bathroom, and the zero depth entry pool that my daughter loved since a lot of hotel pools start at 3 feet deep and that's a little too deep for her to stand on the bottom.

I booked BVS for March 21 about a month ago but I cancelled about an hour ago after visiting this forum several times and reading all the wonderful things about HIFS. When I went to their website and saw that they have a train that runs all around the resort I knew I made the right decision because my 3 year old son is train crazy. They seem to have so much more to offer than BVS and I'm now really excited about going. It's going to cost about $30 more per night but to me it seems worth it.

nhpm... We just got back from 6 nights at HIFS and loved it. Not only do they have a train that drives around the hotel for a tour. The lobby has a couple of train displays that the kids love. You might want to ask for a kidssuite with the "Choo-Choo" theme. :D

Thanks for the Choo Choo info. It just got even better. The original price I was quoted from dreamsres was $143 per night so I decided to do a little searching for a better rate and got one on Travelnow.com for $111.

I can't wait to go! Glad you enjoyed your trip.

Here is a link to my pics from HIFS, including the lobby and pool, as well as of the room itself. I know I would have liked to see actual photos of the place before we went:

Don't forget everyone also that the money you would have spent eating breakfast will offset the cost difference. HIFS for us, again.

These pictures were great! Makes me more comfortable about going! Heard so many great things but the photos provided by the company are not always true representations, you know? So now i'm even more excited about going in Sept. ( I didn't think that was possible)!
