My oldest wants to visit a waterpark the "next time we visit Disney" :lmao: we are KOTS :ssst:
So, we will be bringing our 4 daughters...ages then... 12, 4, 3 and the new 4 month old.
I need to know which one will be better for us as hubby will be off doing the "big rides" with the 12 year old and I will have the 3 little ones by myself for most of the day, so TL or BB for toddlers/preschoolers???
Thanks!

I guess this really isn't a fair assessment because we've not been to both. However, we have always chosen TL based on information from this board. I had read on here that TL has more shaded areas than BB. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. That was important to me with my youngest being 1 1/2 at the time. I know you're in Florida..you're not going to avoid the sun, but I'm a complete freak about them in the water with the sun beating down on them.
Although they are dark skinned (they are half hawaiian) and tan beautifully, when we are in Florida or going to be outside for an extended period of time I slather on the sunscreen. Even now at 6 and 7!

I'm in the same boat as the other poster - I recommend TL, but have only been to that one, so maybe it's not fair. But we did do quite a bit of research for our decision, and thought it was best with a little one. My then 5-year-old had a blast!

How is the toddler/kids play area at TL?

If your going at the end of Oct, you may only have TY to choose. BB usually closes for rehab from end of Oct-mid Dec. Then TY closes for rehab from mid DEC - mid Feb.
TY has a great kids section called Catch-a-kiddie Creek. My DD8,DS6 & DD3 loved it so much we had to go twice. Mom stayed put, while DD12 and I went on the big rides.

We were just a TL and loved it. My kids were very happy playing in the sand and in the wave pool. The waves are very intense though and can easily drag children so be mindful of this. The kiddie area was very fun and the kids loved the lazy river.
Shark Reef was a great experience for the older kids.

So, Typhoon Lagoon it is? Any other opinions?

My vote would be for TL. Given the choice between TL and BB, my kids always picked TL through the years. :cool1:

I have a big age difference between my kids and Typhoon Lagoon worked out well for us. The older ones loved Shark Reef and did this multiple times. There were two areas to watch the older kids snorkel through the reef, one was from a bridge and the other was through portals of a sunken submarine. My youngest loved watching everything under the water. This also meant that we weren't totally seperated from each other all day. I would love to try out Bizzard Beach but Typhoon Lagoon always wins out. We'll just have to get back soon so that we can try it out. My cousin loves hitting the water parks late in the day after most families have gotten tired out from all the sun and fun. She says that you have the place to yourself and can get lots of slides accomplished.

Last year we went to both parks. My kids were twins were 3.5 & my youngest was 10 months
I felt Typhoon Lagoon was more kid friendly (at least for my kids). We actually left BB after a couple hours & tried TL.......then went to TL another day too.
This year they are 4.5 & 21 months. Not sure if I will even go to BB again.......but you never know :confused3

In what way was TL more kid friendly? I will be taking my twin DD5 to one of them in September, but don't know which on is better for that age. Any advice?

Unless I am not remembering correctly, I remember BB as having like, a mini wave pool (without waves)& a couple slides & a small area of just little water spouts coming up.
That could just be my selective memory because of having a 10 month old at the time. & my kids were VERY new to the waterslide thing.
They definitely enjoyed TL better & there was more for my little one to do.
We just came back from Wisconsin Dells yesterday & they (well, one of them)LOVED the biggest slide she could possible sneak on to.
I felt TL had more small/med slide options than BB.
If I can remember more I'll come back
