well tomorrow i'm starting school again and i have food tech (which i believe is home economics). We're starting our coursework then and we've been given a choice of 2 tasks to follow and make 12 meals out of. I can't really decide on which task i want to do so i need a bit of help.

TASK 1
As concern about the health of the nation increases, supermarket chains have responded by selling healthier food products. Research shows that many people still continue to eat food products that do not always meet the current dietary recommendations. (we make meals under certain guidlines like a meal with all the nutrients a 5 yr old would need.)

TASK 2
For food manufactuers producing cakes, biscuits and pastries to maintain their competitiveness, they need to update their image continually and find ways of meeting the changing needs of their customers. (we make cakes, biscuits and pastries under certain guidelines like low in sugar

i would like to do both if i could but we could only choose one. We find our own recipes for this so i would need to find recipes which would be useful for 12 weeks like if i chose task 2 and decided to do low in fat, then i'll need to find 12 recipes which i could change to go under that guideline. Thanks in advance :)

Which course requires less work? This way, you won't have to stress while procrastinating. :p

I think the second looks interesting.

Task two seems like you could have a lil more fun with it. So I would chose that one!:)

Task 2 seems like it would be easier, because it isn't such a broad heading as Task 1. You could do anything for Task 1, but Task 2 really narrows it down.

Also, cutting down sugar etc. in baked goods isn't that hard. You can substitute sugar for a lot of other sweet ingredients.

Task 2 seems a little more interestign to me.
