First day activies at WDW?

What do you do the first day at Disney? My famliy stays at the pool and goes to Epcot for dinner. :thumbsup2

On our first trip back in December we stayed at our resort and rested, it was such a long flight.

Downtown Disney.

We stay at the resort and swim in the pool. Then, we normally go for dinner in another resort. However, this year, I forced my parents to bring me to DTD for a certain lightsaber..... :teeth:

Usually we take an early flight out of Detroit. Get there about lunch time. Go to hotel. Eat. Go swimming. Go to DTD. Go to Chef Mickeys. Go back to Hotel and go swimming. :)

I stay at the Boardwalk so we usually walk over to the Beach Club and go to Beaches and Cream and eat lunch. Then we go to MGM or Epcot.

We usually get to Disney late from around 8-12. But the next day we go to the parks.

Eat. Go to MK at night.

I HAVE to go to MK because if I don't then no matter where I go in Disney before then, it just doesn't seem like I am trully in Disney.

It depends what hotel. When I stay at the Beach Club, I go to Spoodles for dinner, then go to Epcot to see Illuminations, and generally sneak in a ride on Figment.

At Wildnerness Lodge, Eat at Whispering Canyon, then go down to the beach for the electric water parade and watch Wishes from across the water.

At the Polynesian, Go to MK for dinner, then watch Spectromagic and Wishes.

At the Swan/Dolphin, Ride rock n roller coaster and Tower of Terror, go to Hollywood Brown derby for dinner, and watch Fantasmic.

All of these following a swim, of course.

This is the extent of resorts I have stayed at, Saratoga Springs to be added in June.

Although, this year we have a later flight and we're staying at Wilderness Lodge, which we never stayed in before, so we'll prolly walk around :D

Usually when DH and I go to WDW we are there a minimum of 7 days so we always start our trips off at a leisurely pace during the day and our first night we go to the Magic Kingdom. But this summer when we go in July it is a girls trip with mom and sister and only for 5 days sooooo, we really have to make each minute count. This trip we are arriving in Orlando at 9am so we hope to check in at our resort and head over to AK, our least favorite park that we usually do in a half a day.

We usually eat lunch, go to a park, see the nighttime show then crash on the beds. Usually MGM.

When we first get there we usually rest for a little while then go look around the hotel and stuff and see what we can find.Sometimes we go swimming.

We usually always ride It's a Small World first,and for dinner we go to Beach's and Cream.

Go resort hopping (Check out the other resorts)

Run to Magic Kingdom in time for the parade.

The crashing at hotel and staying up really late sounds really awesome, but once I'm back at the hotel when I'm in Disney, I fall asleep right away. :rotfl: I stay up late for the parks though.

Yeah I know, when we arrive we're soooo tired. And every night when we get back at the hotel, he crash.

If its a day trip we of course just go to the park.
If we stay the night or whatever we go to the room, unpack, relax a little then head to the park or wherever were going.

When I went in March, we checked in to our hotel, and then we all took naps. (it was a long day of traveling). We then were too tired to go to dinner, so we just had room service. We went to bed at like 9pm.

When we go to Disneyland, I usually head straight to DTD.
