Best rates at Universal hotels?

Hi! I was just wondering where people usually get good rates for Universal hotels? Disney hotels are easy to get good rates because of the numerous "codes"...but lately Expedia and other websites have been giving rack rates for the Universal hotels! Any info would be great!

You can get discounts at Universal with the Entertainment Card, the Universal Fan Club Card, Annual Pass, and AAA. If you have any questions, you can e-mail me. We stayed at the HRH in November for only $119 a night! And that was a poolview room.

Deb, what is a Fan Club Card and where would we get one?

I got my fan club card through my employer. We got HRH with the fan club for $139/night for garden view or could get pool view for $153/night over Memorial Day weekend.

We are going to be in Orlando March 9-17. I just called & HRH did not have any discounts available on March 9 & 10, but I was able to get the PBR Deluxe Pool View for $180 with Entertainment card rate. I thought this sounded good to me. (What do you think?) We plan to stay off site for the rest of our trip.

The Entertainment card, which is the easiest to obtain, comes with the Entertainment books sold by school systems and at their site www.entertainment.com. If you get the book for your own neighborhood, it's loaded with lots of coupons from participating merchants. Any city's book can get the discount on the hotels at Universal.

The Loew's First card can be gotten at www.loewshotels.com .
